I got on a BA flight from Gatwick to Amsterdam Schipol on Monday night not realising that Celtic were playing AJAX in the Champions League on Wednesday night. I have to say that the 45 Minute flight was the longest of my life and I am left wondering how the Police were not waiting for us at Amsterdam airport! The behaviour from some of the Celtic fans on that flight was disgusting and moronic! When the stewardesses came down with the drinks some of the Celtic boys were grabbing loads of booze (not that they needed it) from the drinks trolley and giving them verbal abuse it was dreadful. I am not not saying that ALL Celtic fans on that flight were causing mayhem as I was sitting next to a perfectly reasonable bloke who I tried to have a conversation with over the din! We both agreed how 5hite Daryl Murphy was both for us and at Celtic and we both agreed that Terry Butcher was doing an amazingly good job at Inverness! When it came to landing, the Captain had to come over the Mic to inform this mob that unless they sat down he would not be landing at Schipol! Exhuberance is one thing but a plane carrying p1ssed up Jocks is another and it ruined what shoul;d have been a fairly routine flight so thank you Celtic fans! As for my own trip to Amsterdam all I will say is that what goes on in Amsterdam stays in Amsterdam! Anyhoo Im going for a Town win at Blackpool!
Unfoturnately SD this was a business trip and it was more business than pleasure! I have to say though that Dutch girls on the whole are pretty god damn awesome! I'm sure you will agree with me on that!
I lived there for ten years. Met my wife there and my son was born there. I have a lot of great memories of the place, really good people and an interesting language to learn.
Talking about Holland,I had to go to Utrecht yesterday. I decided to take the Harwich boat and train it. No word of lie but I was stopped and searched leaving England.A total of 7 border patrol people dealt with me over a 20 minute period. I'm all for security but surely their resources could be better spent.
