..very soon it will be, to one more good year As two thousand twelve fades away, The fourth in a row which has brought us cheer When watching from August to May, And who would have thought that each of the four Would have been better than the last, But so it has proved, from being quite poor We´ve moved through the gears pretty fast, It´s been a great ride to be privy to Along with the rest of you here, And now it is time to just wish to you Merry Christmas to all far and near, From Maestro and Dave our two mods supreme To zogean_king down in the mine, To Canaries Soccer preparing his theme For the ump-ump-ump-ump-umpteenth time, To old ILOVEDELIA, as most of us do And Tony_Munky Sid and Clive, And he with the Australasian view With a name worthy of a high five, And if you can´t guess, then I´ll tell you now It´s Hairy_Mary_Quite _Canary, A quite splendid name, and able to wow Everyone, without being scary, And naturally too, to all of the rest Who if I was to name you here, Would prove, I fear, to be something of a test With a good deal of both wear and tear. So, VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS CANARIES
Superb sir, you really hit the mark, your talent knows no bounds! A very merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and yours, and I hope all the following poems will be about us maintaining our high standards!
Hi RBF bor, soon time to say farewell to a wonderful year. Looking forward to an even more successful one next year. I never thought at my time of life to see our club vying once again with the best of English and Welsh football clubs, this season under Chris Hughton has been a revelation. Regards to "Muttley." LOL.
Absolutely agree NORKIE, it´s great to see us flying high again. Muttley sends a very Woofy Christmas.
Hi RBF bor, this being the season of goodwill to all men (and women, Gorleston gal), I think it would be most appropriate if our board was to drop its legal proceedings against Paul Lambert. He did a super job for us during his tenure as manager and in appreciation of that feat, we should acknowledge his departure which was always on the cards, let him finally go without this legal rancour. Notwithstanding his manner of departure which could have been handled more diplomatically, we as a club have nothing to gain by proceeding with this legal action. Let not our pride become our downfall. The only Swedish phrase I know how to pronounce is Tack se mycket (thank you very much), very appropriate for your poetic work during these past years. To you and your family and not forgetting Woofy, seasonal tidings and may your poetry continue to enrich our board for many years to come.
Can´t see it happening to be honest NORKIE, although it would be a nice gesture from both sides actually, because it´s only going to get messier still from now on. ´Mange tak´ is the Danish equivalent to Tack så mycket, so that´s one more for you anyway. and the Norwegians go one step further and say ´tusen tak´
