When Arsenal played at Wembley, 1999/2000 fair play to the Gooons. Despite regular CL footie, a double group stage and tickets costing more than Prem games, the Arrse sold out the (first) group stage games no problems.

    No general sale necessary

  6. I think you'll find that we're always sold out, particularly for home games.

You must be thinking of Arsenal, where the silly ****ers pay the highest gate fees in the World, and only half of them actually turn up to the game to watch in hushed silence.

Firstly, prove it. Secondly, Wembley was smaller. Thirdly, you're going to have to groundshare with West Ham. <ok>

This from a fan whose club couldn't sell out Stamford Bridge for CL group games

    A) You believe what you read in the Daily Mail! You can't even read what it says properly: sales were well over 50k before general sale. I reckon more like 70,000
    B) When Chelsea qualified for the CL for the second time in 2003 your crowd for the first home group match was 32,957
Lets see what the crowd is on Wednesday and see which club is 'shameful'

Thanks - there was a typo in my post - the match referred to was in 2003.

I know he is just a WUM but sometimes fans of these poorly supported clubs need to be told the facts

I am sure Chelsea has the second largest global fan base worldwide now, of all the PL clubs.
If by poorly supported you mean in numbers, you are wrong,
if you mean the people who support Chelsea, support them poorly, then you MAY have a point
