Latest from the Mercury; More than 32,000 people will be at the King Power Stadium this afternoon to witness the historic clash with Real Madrid, but millions more will be cheering on Leicester City in Thailand. The club's Thai owners have done a deal with a Thai television company to show the game on national television, and vice-chairman Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn said there was huge interest in City in his homeland. Raksriaksorn added that a deal had been done to show every City home game this season on Thai television. "The club's profile has certainly been raised in Asia," he said. "There is already lots of news in Thailand that we have changed the stadium name to King Power and all of Asia is looking at our team now. "I have to say that they follow every game, and they are crazy about football. They are thinking now that Leicester is their team. All Thai people say it is a Thai team because it belongs to Thai people now. "It is really positive in Thailand and they ask me all the time why don't Leicester come to Thailand? When will we go to the Premier League? "They know all the players that we have bought. They follow the team very closely. "The Real game is being shown on Thai TV, and I believe we will be showing every home game live in Thailand next season. "It will be on Channel 3, which is a free channel in Thailand, so everyone can see it." The Real game was sold out nearly three weeks ago and Raksriaksorn said the idea of bringing Madrid to face City was to reward the fans for their support. "I have to thank all the fans because they have shown such good support to the team," said Raksriaksorn. "I wanted to make the fans happy and bring a good team, one of the best in the world, to play at the King Power Stadium. I hope they love it. "Our chief executive, Susan Whelan, will make sure there is a carnival atmosphere at the stadium. There will be a lot of activities, because we try to create something special for Leicester. "We don't just want them to come and enjoy the football, but also come and eat, enjoy the activities and the atmosphere. "The game is a thank-you to all the supporters. Then maybe we will reach the Premier League."
Thai people choose their team based upon who they will continue to bet on. If you ask most Thai people who they support they will say,Man U,Arsenal,Liverpool,Chelsea.... They even buy the fake £4 top but dig further and ask who they think should be in Chelsea's team and you will be lucky to hear a Lampard or even a Drogba come out of their mouth. after that, they get lost as they also bet on first goal scorer. Until Leicester break into the top 4 and have a chance of beating the teams above you have little chance of picking up these so called of fans!
