The word finalise sounds as though it is planned.
From what I have picked up
Dr Guzman in........Adel out.

I think Arry was counting on Remy staying.......but think he might be seduced by a swap for Townsend and Kane.

Would have taken Kane all day long as the fourth striker with Charlie, Remy and OBZ.......but not sure of him as the second starting striker....but Townsend could play the number 10.
Interesting times...

 

Still really hoping Remy stays ....... Just hope nothing lingers. Get em in and out ASAP, the sooner we can settle ourselves.

It would if Charlie Austin got injured.

 

We cant afford to let Remy go at this stage without a replacement, andca good one at that.

I would be gutted if we swapped him for Kane and Townsend tbh

Sorry Beth, but Townsend is not a number 10. Why would we want Hoilett, Phillips, Townsend and, arguably, SWP if we are really going to play a system without wingers?

De Guzman and Hoddle in, hopefully Cesar and Adel (for the right money) out. I'd bite your hand off for a straight swap of Remy for Townsend and Kane.

 

If l could arrange for the Range Rover to break down, l would but the trouble is, the buggers never brake down when you want them to, do they. Why can't he brake leg now?

 

Kane and Townsend would be ok.....but if Kane was the only striker brought in to replace Remy it would be disastrous.

Now add Deeney to the mix and well........

 

Persuade Townsend to come and keep Remy. Just a thought.

Exactly my thoughts. For me priority number 1 is keeping Remy. Replacing him with Kane would be madness in my opinion.

 

I like Townsend, but I'm not sure how he would fit in a 3-5-2. I'd prefer to keep Remy if we had the choice.

 

It's a difficult one this.

Remy wants away but will try his hardest for us if no move transpires. We then have the same situation in January - will he? - won't he?

If he goes I would prefer a cash deal, rather than swapsies for players who may not fit into the new 3-5-2 arrangement no matter how good they are..

 

Was Townsend at Spurs the same time as Harry? If he was maybe he could fit into a 3-5-2 and Harry's seen something that no one else has.
