I know he's a ****er and we of all clubs should probably steer clear but £20m for one of the best strikers in the world? I call that a bargain!

As it says there, AC Milan are apparently expected to make a bid for Drogba in January, so in theory we would be replacing one moody egotistical mardy arse with another. What do you guys think about this?

Let's face it, Torres has been awful since he joined us - I know he isn't getting the service but the odd time he does, he misses sitters! Two this season and £50m players shouldn't be getting anything off target!

If I was Roman/AVB, I'd let Torres on loan to Spain and take the pressure from him and see how he does. Sell Drogba in January and bring in a world class striker but NOT at £50m or there abouts like last Jan OR even put Sturridge up there on his own!

    Thoughts?

Its not the cost of the player Drogs but the £200,000 a week wages mate plus the fact he is likely to do a moody or go missing.

Yeah that's the biggest issue, I hear he's willing to take a pay cut but that seems hard to believe.

Been watching this Cavani fella a bit more after your article and he is a raw talent, only thing that puts me off is the price tag they've put on him!

I still stand by the Torres/Drogba clear out though, think it'd be best for both of them AND for us to be honest!

Oh and with Drogba and possibly half of Torres' wages off the books it won't seem so bad!

Set the team up to play around Torres instead of Drogba and you'll see the difference in him...at the minute we still try to play like we have for years and it doesn't work...Mata behind FT will provide all we need in terms of goals.

Tevez will demand £250k a week, so then will everyone else and he's a tool...

    So...

    No<ok>

Hmm there's no guarantee that Tevez won't throw a wobbler and down tools here. As far as I can make out he's not a "team player" plus his wages won't be on the frugal side - good money after bad....need to look elsewhere after all we've already got an out-of-sorts striker on our payroll do we want another?

  10. Realistically, how much do you think you'd get for Torres, now that he's been found out?

    £10 million? £15 million?

    Certainly, no more than that.

Good point, it's the only qualm I have with Tevez - the fact he's not a team player AND a money grabbing selfish arsehole. No denying his quality though.

I didn't say sell him, I said loan him out to Spain where he could relax in his homeland. I doubt Roman would let him go for 10m.

What do you mean found out? The only reason his struggling is because a lot of our players are individuals and aren't use to having to pass to someone instead of having a shot, most of our midfielders and strikers and even our defenders are going to shoot rather than pass 9 times out of 10, to get the best out of torres we have to do what liverpool did and build the whole team round him and give him every chance we have and rely on him,his not the right player for us and i'd be very open to a deal with milan, maybe drog+torres for pato

  14. Okay. But do you believe that it is likely that the Russian is going to permit a team to be built around one player, in the hope that he'll capture something of the form that he showed when he first went to Liverpool?

Bare in mind that Torres was pretty useless at 'Pool, too, for the last couple of seasons he was there.

I wasn't keen on Torres before he came, he was off form and certainly not a £50m player and in hindsight it's especially annoying that he hasn't performed well and we were rumoured to be interested in Aguero.

I think it's the wrong thing to be saying "build the team around Torres", it will take a while and Torres isn't the 24 year old who joined Liverpool anymore. I still believe sending Torres out on loan would benefit him, again I'm not saying we should sell him just a loan deal to build his confidence again.

Although two signings could change my mind completely, we NEED a Modric and someone to give us width if Mata is going to play in the middle <ok>

No i don't think it's at all likely, and i don't think AVB will do it either, torres is 28/29 now? Lukaku is 18 and Sturridge is 20/21 and if i was AVB i'd be looking to the future with them two in a possible partnership and bringing in some creative midfielders

We've also got a young soon-to-be world class striker in Lalkovic as well

  18. You'll spend a long time looking for a player of Modric's class for anything other than silly money. Luckily, we already have a Modric-type player - he's called Modric <ok>

I reckon Mata should play off torres like Vdv does for us

I can't see the chairman will authorise a loan move and I don't know if he would be best pleased if torres is dropped too often. I may be wrong but the manager could be in a difficult position with torres because of the ridiculous price tag attached to him.

Aguero would of been perfect for you and cheaper! I do actually think tevez is the best striker in the prem on his day just a shame he is a greedy c**t

Problem with that is he doesn't want to be a Spurs player as he has stated on several occasions, now known as a Judas bastard by both sets of fans.
