Following Swansea's alleged interest in BJ can anyone out there riddle me this - what has happened to Tetty?

For a period earlier in the season he looked like an absolute world beater. Strong in the tackle, good distribution, powerful forward runs plus defensive cover. Then he got injured and subsequently he appears to have lost the ability to pass, track back and move forward. I appreciate that the last point may be a result of being told not to by the coaching staff but how has someone who was one of our best in the Autumn gone to keeping the bench warm all Spring? It is not as if Howson or other replacements have lit up the Premiership in his stead.

Is he still not 100% fit? If not why is he even in the squad? Is he homesick? Fed up with how things are going?

Would anyone who has some more information than me be kind enough to share it?

Looks like Hughton has sucked the confidence out of him.

I have no idea but I think he is a good player when on form. It is however, worrying that he has seemed 'off it' for basically the 2nd half of the season and I do feel like we have missed his drives forward with the ball.

I have a feeling he is still getting over his injury.... lets hope for a positive set of results over the weekend and look forward to him recapturing his form next season for us

I reckon that his loss due to injury and subequent loss of form have had a significant impact on 2013 just as Ruddy not being available has. Holt has been off the boil pretty much all season and obviously the loss of form of our captain, top scorer and player of the season for the past three years has been a massive loss, particularly as Holt is pretty much the only forward we have who has scored a decent amount of goals in the top flight.

Hopefully next season Tetty and Ruddy will be fully fit and RvW will be able to take some of the burden from Holty and we'll have another couple of new faces to strengthen so we aren't sitting here in May 2014 worrying about going down.

Never been the same since he came back from his injury. But the team haven't got that whole winning mentality, so maybe he's just not as confident as he was in the first half of the season.

I agree with the above - combined with a loss of squad confidence, he is also still not fully recovered from injury. I suspect we rushed him back too soon and are now paying the consequences. He doesn't ahve a great injury history.

Also, it is worth bearing in mind that the Prem is particularly gruelling to a player from another league, especially with the way Tettey plays.

I'm confident that with a summer's R&R, he will be back on top form.

no player can stay of top form all season, it comes and goes
unfornuately for us, we don't seem to have too many players on top form at the moment. maybe JR is the man to wear the hat on sunday

He started of doing the basics well but has been found out in terms of teams knowingbhe cracks under pressure. He has a great engine, he can tackle, he can shoot...he cant pass or take a player on for **** though :p

Is he that good? It is always easier to destroy than create. He looked good at the start when he broke up attacks and stormed forward with it. BJ covered him. Has CH told him not to break forward and stifled him?
