Terry, Capello etc

Is anybody else reminded of Ashley by the way the England captaincy issue is being handled? There shouldn't even be an issue, Ferdinand is captain, end of. But Capello is creating a drama by stripping his skipper of the captaincy and handing it to someone who was stripped of it a year ago for shagging his teammate's missus.

It's exactly the sort of stupid thing Ashley would do if he was in charge. Creating a furore which doesn't need to be created.

This is more evidence of how inept our national setup is, the system is flawed from top to bottom. The sooner Capello and his "excellent CV" ****s off back to Italy.

On another note, does anyone else think Capello's Bo Selecta caharacter would look exactly the same as his Wikipedia photo?

Capello gives the impression of being a brain dead muppet and the suits that appointed him know SFA about football and untill the system is changed we're not going to get very far in the world of football.

 

i'm a bit confused..is this captaincy to terry (or someone else) permanent and only temporary until rio is back, or has he taken it off him for good?

capello is a complete muppet who has no clue how to manage the players. he's just making controversy for himself.

 

I was confused about this at first, but apparently Terry is being reinstated as permanent captain. According to the Beeb Rio is "very upset".

 

capello doesnt know his asshole from his ear hole. even stranger when against denmark the armband got passed around to every but terry. he might be good at club level but at international hes a ****ing pleb.

 

Cappello is completely stupid as he has messed around with rio but i would like to say I didnt think terry should have been stripped of his captaincy in the first place so I would be happy to see terry with the captaincy back

Great management, creating unrest in the changing room. Takes the armband off one player and gives it to another and then takes it off him and gives it back to the other guy. What's going on in his head?

Agree entirely! Plus, if you read the transcript/report of the interview Capello gave, he spoke about everything in the future tense:

"I will speak to Rio about this..."
"I will explain how I feel..."
"He will come to understand..."

Why the **** is he telling the press this before he has spoken to the players. Does he not think Rio will be made aware of the comments he see's? Get a ****ing grip man...This stinks of complete and utter disrespect. Not simply because he's removed the Captaincy, but because he told him through 3rd hand information...Like finding out you've been dumped by your girlfriend through someone else's facebook update!

Capello is a complete and utter ****witt and the whole England set up is a joke. English manager, leading a TEAM of PROUD English players. It is a privilege, not a right, and some of the scum who currently wear the shirt need to be reminded of that fact!

If we ever want to win something, we need to stop this 'boys club' mentality!

Totally agree with this - if a player like Rio Ferdinand gets banned for missing a drugs test, Capello himself was the manager of AC Milan the year they were stripped of the Italian Championship for match fixing, Terry get's the captaincy taken away for his 'poor moral conduct' which had NOTHING to do with football.
The real villain of the whole thing was Wayne Bridge - he turned his back on England because he wasn't man enough to sort John Terry out on his own terms.

 

To be honest I can't say I care much about England or the captaincy.. :/

 

Capello is awful. Truly awful. I think he will be seen as one of the worst England managers in time.

- TERRIBLE in dealing with the players. He obviously has **** man management skills.
- **** at dealing with the media. Always seems to speak to them before the players. Total disrespect.
- Chooses the players the last second before the match. Why?!
- **** tactics
- Can barely speak a word English and appears to be one of the most boring men alive. I cannot see how he can possibly inspire the players. No passion.
- Crap at selecting players. Seems to be incredibly bias towards players in southern terms. Why the hell is he selecting third choice goalkeepers and championship players when there are FAR superior options in the EPL?

Under him, we barely beat some teams which we should be skinning, we lose against some teams we should be skinning, and we got battered in the world cup. I do not understand how he's still in the job, and I cannot fathom how he even got a contract extension. The man must be a bullshitting genius.

 

Agree Capello is ****. However Ferdinand shouldn't start for England anymore and should struggle to get into the squad. If he stays fit and preforms well on a consistent basis then he should start, I really hope he doesn't come straight back in if he hasn't proven form and fitness for his club first!

 

Wonder what the future England team will be id like the following to be included in a squad

Smalling, Simpson, Baines, Albrighton, McEverley, Gibbs,

 

God how id love Sir Bobby to be leading our next generation.

I agree that he is a joke, stripping JT of the armband in the first place was wrong, and to give it for someone who was banned for 8 months because he missed a drugs test. To be honest I think he has just come to the conclusion that Terry is a great leader, even when he didn't have the captaions armband he was acting as captain with his instructions and even the way he spoke to the press after games.

I think Harry Redknapp will get the job next, give it to someone who makes **** loads of money and still dodges the tax man! At the end of the day its not Capello's fault, its the FA's!
