Haven't seen this covered but apologies it it has and I've missed it, but Terry suffered a stroke on Saturday and remains in hospital.
Not entirely sure how serious his condition is but I really hope it's not life threatening and he makes a full recovery.
One of the games characters, keep battling.....

Let's hope for a full recovery. I'll never forget that moment when he and Henrietta Knight ran towards each other like in a film following a winner (probably Best Mate's 3rd Gold Cup).

An upbeat report for Terry Biddlecombe in today's RP, stating that he has had "a good 24 hours" and is able to speak a few sentences, in fact Hen stated on her website that "A good few swear words come out"!

Best wishes should also go to Josh Gifford and his family. Josh was admitted to hospital on Saturday and is seriously ill with septicemia. He has been described as "critical but stable" and his son Nick said "Dad is very ill and it's a day at a time at the moment - it's fingers crossed."

Best wishes go out to all friends and family.

    Thanks for the update PN.
And I wasn't aware of Josh Giffords illness - many years back when I was a regular at Folkestone/Plumpton where he sent many of his horses we would often bump into each other in the members bar, always polite and friendly.
Best wishes on a full recovery

Damn - I didn't know about either :undecided:

Terry B is without doubt one of the sports characters. When i bought Hens book Best Mate at Sandown they were doing a signing, the guy in front of me was asked by Terry what his name was and why he liked Best Mate, he said derek (remember it vividly) and that he new nothing about racing and the book was for his mate. Terry quick as a flash said well sign it yourself then you daft bugger, there are people here who love our Oss <somersault> what a star!

My parents lived at Findon (Josh land) for 25 years so i was often watching the horses going through their paces and Josh's yard was renowned for being one of the friendliest yards around and thankfully Josh's extremely good nature has rubbed off onto Nick too.

Best wishes to both and let's hope for a speedy recovery all round <ok>
