Yes but according to Salmond "Scandinaviahood" is up for grabs, the Irish have jumped on the bandwagon so why not the Swiss? They are more Scandinavian than the Irish.

This bill is been introduced because the police have complained that their hands are tied and they cannot dish out the punishment they want to to the Celtic fans.
The facts are that existing legislation has out-lawed the ditties and chants from the choirs of darkness at the pox and the authorities have never attempted to stop them.
What makes you think that with this new legislation which doesn't change the laws re the chants etc from the bears, will make the police act any different?

The Chair of the Justice Committee recognised that current legislation is more likely to lead to prosecutions of Rangers supporters.....because they sing sectarian songs. They are not being prosecuted because there is a need to be seen to take an even handed approach towards Celtic and Rangers. Rather than going after those who break the law, they reinvent the law to criminalise the half of the equation who they could not previously get at.
Once they have the green light to go after both sides, one for being "offensive" and the other for being racist and sectarian under the same statute, then I am sure they will attack both sides of the Glasgow divide with equal vigour to "prove" that both sides are as bad as the other.

I give you one wee example wher even-handed does not enter into their thoughts. At the cup semi final
2010 an idiot or idiots, among the Celtic fans let off smoke bombs. Police waded in to apprehend them( quite right)
many would say. But a few minutes later The sheep fans did the same. No one went in to sort them out or try to arrest
any of them. Where was your even-handed approach.
In the North of Ireland loyalist can wreck havoc, no plastic bullets, few if any arrests. Nationalist become frustrated with been fenced
in as Orange men and Loyalist march away to a parade, and march home from a parade. Nationalist get full fury of plastic bullets, water canon
and multiple arrests. Do you not know that Strathclyde Police and RUC/PSNI have the same blinkered bigoted brain cells. Come-on Rebel you
