..from us tonight, well played QPR, had everything we didnt ! passion, fight, bottle and pride. We are now going to be looking over our shoulders at the chasing pack and wondering where the next win is going to come from.

I didnt expect us to get anything from this game, but the manner of this defeat sticks in the throat TBH.

We have learn't alot tonight thats for sure.

    1. Brenden rodgers wont be going anywhere, he isn't good enough yet for a top job.
    2. Our subs did absolutely nothing to change the game, not their fault but the managers IMO.
    3. DG had chances and failed to take them, he is now officially out of form and struggling to make any impact on games.
    4. Gylfi will not hang around playing in this team, it has a look of a relegation haunted side, good thing we fluked a win against Man city those 3 pts might be the difference.
    5. We have been out thought and out fought far too often against teams i regard us as equal to, like QPR,Norwich,Blackburn etc.
    6. Nobody will be looking to sign our players in the summer now that we look **** every game we play, this is one of the few positives!!
    7. Scott sinclair looked a good player, is it because he thinks QPR are in the championship ??
    8. Too many players starting to lose heart and faith in their much vaunted passing game, there is a serious lack of confidence ATM, rodgers seems unable to fix this.
    9. Blackburn is THE game of the season, will we see 11 lions out there or 11 pussycats?
    10. Our limp to the finishing line is quite frightning to witness, players tired and mentally switched off maybe? or just been found out ?
    11. Angel rangel WTF !! turn your back on an attacking player on the edge of the area in local league football and your team mates would batter the **** out of you, very poor play !!
    12. Ash has been **** since he came back from that virus, makes me think he still has it(thr virus). there i said it !!

Harsh words and not an over reaction either, most of the above have been in evidence for weeks, Buck has no idea how to stop the rot and doesn't have the players to change it.

I never expected us to win this game but the lack of fight and timid approach is a big worry, maybe we are mentally thinking of the Blackburn game?

Thoughts on the hammering we took tonight ?

Well I agree with most of it. A timid performance that I've posted elsewhere reminded me of the Sousa era when we looked terrified to come out of our own half. QPR really aren't a good team - far from it. We should have got at them from the off and didn't. Happy to pass back to Vorm when we were in attacking positions. <doh>

Two of your points I'm not sure about. (1) Not sure about Graham. Would it really have made a difference if we'd had someone else up front? (2) You extol the virtues of Moore time and again on here but now blame Rodgers for bringing him on? Don't get that one. Rodgers has to work with what's available to him.

You don't mention Williams. Another poor game from him. Really poor. Is he starting to believe the hype? He's been pants the last 4 or 5 games. Thank god for Caulker.

Norway, a hammering it was. Thought we were fortunate to keep it at 3-0. Why can't we get a deflected goals, oh that's right we need to shoot at goals. Have to agree on most of your points. I mentioned this on another thread last week about our crossing ability and saying that Routledge was our best crosser, well sorry I'm going to take it back. Our crossing is ****!!!!

Brendan want's to give them a bolloking, his stock has plummeted in recent weeks so he will be with us next season. At present we could play till next Saturday and we still won't score.

To me Saturday's game is a MUST win game, not just for the points, but for the players confidence etc. Still think were safe, but it looks like 16th or 15th for us. Having said that my ass is twitching.

I'm with you bongo. I normally have a go at NJ for posting unjustified critical posts.

    He's right with this one.

Have to agree, Ash has been poor for the last few games. Needs to sort it out.

A bad night for the Swans and it could have been a lot worse. Take your medicine lads, dust yourselves down and get ready for Blackburn on Saturday<ok>

Mick McCarthy: "Swansea will be fine. They've just run out of gas."

    Sums it up.

What bugged me the most was the amount of times we passed it back to the keeper!!

This tippy tappy passing game is not working at the moment. We are to slow at the moment to play this type of game - we need the team to wise up and get some urgency in the play.

The player that bugs me the most is Britton. Excellent defensive midfielder but whenever he gets the ball he goes backwards. Seems to slow the team down through the middle.

It was a bit embrassing tonight!

Yes, I think that's spot on. Got to 39 points and now just going through the motions. No goal threat whatsoever. Might well lose the next 5 as well.

KJ- I did mention Ash but it was on a re edit before i read your comments. Agree totally, hasnt been the same player since he had a virus.

Luke moore and DG. I rate both players, neither did great tonight, DG gets away with getting stick because he runs around like a headless chicken, lack of service is one thing but he had chances tonight and blew them.
Luke moore came on yet again when we change formation and tactics and has to adapt to different aspects of play, Gylfi went into a 4 man midfield and luke played what looked like a roll behind DG, last time he played i beleive he was up front, using a player to do more than one job is fine but its hard to expect imporessive performances playing different postitions week in week out.
The fact that he can do it and others like DG and Lita cant is something that goes over alot of peoples heads.

Nobody played well tonight apart from maybe Sinclair in 2nd half and Gylfi. Nice to see the latter trying to play some passes to DG which he was to awkward to do anything with, a night to forget for everyone thats for sure! <ok>

I did the BBC's match predictor yesterday for the last 6 games. I had 3 draws (Blackburn, Bolton & Wolves) and 3 defeats. We ended 14th.

After their performance last night and ours tonight, Blackburn will be fancying their chances.

May be that Wolves will be THE "must-win" game.

It's never easy with the Swans !! <steam>

I hate myself for this but the QPR fans were shouting "Boring boring Swansea" and I was agreeing with them. I've rarely been so embarrassed as a Swans fan. Shocking.

I wouldn't argue with most points above, running out of gas is something that should be managed though, Blackburn and Wigan arn/t doing that. i think mentally tired could well be a reason also .

Another reason is that we have been just been a bit **** lately <laugh>

Sorry guys, but if Leon doesn't pull his finger out, then he is a 'luxury' this team can not afford. Now it is not just him, Sinclair ... isn't a winger supposed to attack the defender? Aren't wingers meant to get the ball to the CF to score (occasionally with his head). Anyone remember the last time Graham scored with his 'ead? Our midfield is lightweight. Tonight they ran away from their opposition. When we had the ball they passed into trouble, when they had the ball we ran back to 'mam'.
Full backs try hard, but they can't do defending and attacking, they haven't got the skill. Opposition Tactics: Lay off the Swansea defence - we will get a shot at them, and get a deflection or own goal. Lay off the midfield they will run themselves silly going nowhere, and as for the forwards just make sure you are awake IF they get the ball.

Why oh why spend £6M on a new forward, when would we give him the ball - send it by Royal Mail, at least he may get it albeit a few days late!!!

Blackburn gave us a drubbing at their place, will Saturday be any different? Time for a change, perhaps we should take Mick McCarthy on as assistant - at least there will be someone in town that knows what we are doing!!!!!

RANT over, worst game of the season so far - no doubt there will be worse to come.....

I see the Blackburn game as winnable and i think we will win it too, the winning factor will be the fans and home advantage, though we are 8pts clear of the chasing pack it looks like the "hard" fixtures the other teams have are being munched up and mean nothing, so its going down to the wire guys !!

man utd getting beat at wigan says it all, playing under serious pressure is something that may be new to our boys, in the past they have been comfortable with responsibility on the ball, at this level they are starting to shy away from it, put the added pressure of must win games and relegation dog fights is enough to see us struggle.

It is officially squeky bum time but i think we have JUST enough left in the tank !!
