i dont think its just the Goole lads these days. There's a 'renegade' bus load of East Standers each week now as well. I never travel on the buses, but we bumped into the official buses yesterday at Tibshelf. There is start contrast between the travelling factions!
Forest - Lots of whinging official supporters club 'coach one' types sat in huddles spending more time looking behind than at the pitch. Result - confusion an discontent amongst the crowd. Derby - Everyone stood. No complaints and the best atmosphere since Peterboro (coincidentally the last all standing crowd situation. Result - great day and excellent support. It seems strange that there werent any City fans with bad backs, bad feet or poorly btms yesterday!
we must be in a different part of the crowd. Forest - stood all game, no complaints from stewards or anyone around Derby - everyone in front of us sat, was told to sit down by the stewards several times. atmosphere much much better though.
There was just one block of seated yesterday, everyone else was stood and it did make for a far better atmosphere. My favourite new addition... agreed No.1. However, don't you think that song needed another word in the third line. As in: "'our' Nicky Barmby.......", or "'that' Nicky Barmby....". Sorry fans, but it just didnt fit as it was. Great songwriters of our time would be perplexed. I also think that the stage was well set for a chorus of "Three Day Millionaire". Shame nobody knows it or the parochial overtones it inspires.
