    I think the official opening date was/is the 18th of December 2002.

    one item they forget Dutch: "i think you ll find that our 'local' bbc radio station (ie the one we pay for) has to be politically correct by providing equal content for the minority 'local' listener base in the culturally diverse geographical region that is Lincolnshire. This in spite of the fact that we have no interest in anything over there and they the same for us? That's the crazy scenario you get when you let londoners decide on regional boundaries beyond watford. a bit like parliament i guess?"

    I think it's as much to do with the location of the BBC transmitters as anything. They pay no heed to county boundaries.

    I regularly get BBC Sheffield and Lincs FM on my car radio for the very same reason.

    quite possibly. i live nearer to york than grimsby but rarely am able to receive radio signal for my local major city in the county of my birth. strange really cos i never go to grimsby but i always know the traffic movements in Letsbe Avenue, or indeed on occasions i know the weather forecast in wells, north norfolk!

    listened to a sports bulletin this morning when i got up to see which part of saturday's interview they would re-run as their monday morning 'news' scoop. according to mr lloyd, either cheltenham or hereford would be at home to hereford in the 3rd round of the fa cup. ok the odd mistake on air, but this guy is an amateur and pay for it! please give the listeners what they demand auntie

    Not even G Lloyd (being a HKR fan) thinks that the Dullers have done more than Hull City afc in the last 10 years @ the KC.

    I'm not quite sure I'm reading this thread correctly. Have we actually got a situation where Mussie is complaining about Blunderside not covering an event that hasn't happened yet because they have to cater for minority interests and Lincolnshire, despite there having been an announcement that Blunderside are going to mark the event when it actually happens?
