Although i'm glad you shared the article, I do have serious questions about football fancast. Who writes this rubbish? That's basically our whole non-starting-11. The ONLY ones that I would let go are Elmo, and then possibly Kilgallon and Meyler. Rico is a top asset (shown by the fact that Everton, consistently a better team than us despite having no money, are interested). If Bramble/Turner went, we'd be hugely short at CB. If Vaughan/Gardner went, we'd be short at CM. If Wickham/Campbell went, we'd be EVEN MORE short up front. Everyone knows you need a squad, not just a team, to compete for top 10. That's why everyone was glad when SB assembled a squad of PL players (as opposed to a squad of Championship players). Short and MON have said we're only looking at a few quality additions. For every one of those 10 players shown that goes, we'll have to sign a replacement, plus the 'few quality players'. I genuinely still think some of those players - most notably Wickham and Campbell - could go on to be great for us. It seems to be a case of 'the grass is always greener' during transfer windows (if we have a set piece specialist we say we want to replace him in the starting XI with a pacey winger, if we have ball-winning CDMs we want to get some ball-playing CAMs, if we have height and power we want pace, etc etc. the next window we'd just complain about having no set piece specialists and no 'steel' in the middle).
I agree with the majority of this, However if you were to sell Vaughan (who I have yet to see in any of the team photos etc) then bring in N'zonzi I would be rather happy Turner can go as Cuellar has been brought in Elmo can go as far as im concerned apart from that, just a few more players and i will be happy

That means we can buy 6 players who are over 21/and or foreign as i bet we have at least 8 home grown players already in our squad, before we even have to think of selling anyone. I would like us to keep Whickam though, if we do get rid I think we may regret it.
It is clear that anybody who goes out needs to be replaced - other than Elmo! With Cuellar coming in Turner can go out IF - N'Zonzi comes in Meyler could go out Even if we get Fletcher I don't think any of the strikers should go out as we are a bit thin there Same with the full backs really unless we bring in a couple We also are a bit thin in nets - we have been down to our third choice keeper before and it would be pretty worrying if it happened again.
Got to agree with this, when I look at those players I just don't think top ten. The only 3 I would personally keep would be Kilgalon, Gardner and Campbell. Kilgallon - Can't be costing us much and IMO is probably our best CB after Brown and Oshea. Gardner - Offers something different from all our defensive midfielders and can fill in well at RB when needed Campbell - Our best remaining striker showed flashes of what he is capable of, with a full pre season he could be very decent next year and he has become a big SAFC fan now too which means he will bust a gut for us. I would keep Richardson too but I think maybe his time has come and with the amount of stick he gets its probably the right time to sell.
I cant see where these Campbell stories are coming from! I know I'm out the country but have I missed summit?
