I still think there is a use for VAR for some things. The offside has to be obvious it’s offside. If they have to zoom in and out for ages then it’s onside. That should fix it.
A video replay showing what happened can only be a good thing, the people looking at it don't know what they are doing and/or are corrupt, that's where the problem is.
Plenty will cry when an offside goal ruins their weekend though... let's not forget the no contact dives for pens and red cards too. It just needs to be a quick check for offsides and pens.... not this ott looking at everything.
That's the key point. It's meant to be for 'clear and obvious' decisions the ref has missed or got wrong. It you need 5 minutes to check 6 different angles in slow motion and draw lines, then it's not clear and obvious. They have let it dictate rather than enhance.
