Tempting fate on this friday <yikes>
    A superstitious one,
But none the less what would you say
If we could get this done

    Curtis Davies, Jordan Rhodes
    And a left back too,
If it happened that would bode
    Very well in my view

    ´Wishful thinking` could be aimed
At us, as we all know,
    But nothing ventured nothing gained
    In this transfer window

    Butterfield ís a good start
    And Whittaker could be,
If things are sorted pretty sharp
    North of the Scot´s boundary

And should we fail with one or both
    Of those mentioned above,
There´s still no need to swear an oath
    As plenty more will hove...

..into our view, I have no doubt
    Even if not the cream,
But if the lager´s gone, then stout
Can still help make us dream

And talking ´stout´, we know so well
Just how good some can be,
And I´m sure no offence would swell
    Up inside old Holty

I saw today down at Colney
That much sweat had been shed,
In training for the coming spree
    Which Hughton himself led

So very soon I guess they´ll fly
    Away to training camp,
For a week where there´ll be high
    Work rate and maybe cramp

Then once back, things start to move
    Quickly, it is the same,
Each year, time´s short as we improve
    Hopefully with each game. OTBC

Hi RBF - not too much longer to wait, I've got the familiar tingle of butterflies in my tummy, I really do have high hopes for us this year! CH has had so much praise from all quarters, from people who are known and trusted for their opinions!

I just want us to get started now, whoever we bring in will have the Chester seal of approval, I'm sure we'll be fine! <ok>

Dave - normally I can cope with the summer break, but for some reason, this year I´ve been edging for things to start for a while now. Very strange, still, the ending of the tunnel neareth. :)

Nicely put RBF. I'm edgy for the season to start too. Should be a couple of interesting 'ins' yet to come I'd say.

I'm surprised how little I care that Lambert has left. We have a lot to thank him for, of course. His effect on our club was monumental, and I thought I'd be devestated when he moved on.

Strangely, though, I'm not at all. This is definately due to my complete faith in CH. Excellent appointment, can't wait to see how he'll handle things.

Morning gandy, perfectly natural I´d say, because although managers have a positive or negative effect on teams, it´s still the team itself which is more important at the end of the day.

Yes and our team has not changed RBF think Holty will move it up a gear Morro will be great again and with Jacko and Vaughan firing off each other for a place we will be minted, if we get Rhodes well I think we score bucket loades, lets hope for an injury free spell at the back and get a consistent crew in front of the country's No1 keeper.

Hi RBF bor, looking forward to our lads showing their mettle again this season. Like last season, this one is going to be just as demanding. CH has inherited a competent squad thanks to PL, although they might need a hand with an infusion of new talent.

    Regard to Rex.
