Charles Green is claiming today that rangers, is that SEVCO Scotland, SEVCO plc, or SEVCO 5088?, has incredibly strong finances. Well, 36,000 ST at average £300, some less, some more, but reasonable average comes to £9m minus £1.8m vat, leaving £7.2m from which must be deducted a questionable wage bill of £6m p.a. Now it is here that I suspect Mr. Green may be misleading us. The £6m is a final wage bill at the end of the season, while most ST monies are already banked. However, on top of all of this is the running costs, which were originally £45m or so minus wage bill last year of £18m, but that leaves £18m. Now assuming that that's reduced somewhat, there are other costs which cannot be reduced, such as rates, policing stewarding utilities etc. If the share issue in whatever it is that fans are buying into?? Falls flat and fails to meet the £20m then there will be a big whole which will be infill able long before the end of the season. We live in interesting times, times
If Whyte is succesful in his civil action, where will the money come from that? Straight out of Rangers' fans' pockets one would suspect.
Rangers went into liquidation because of Whyte's non payment of Nat Ins and Income Tax. However the facts are that dodgy Murray had already sent Rangers spinning into Liquidation because if his cheating and fiddling of the Queen of her monies. It should never be forgotten that Murray is the biggest villain so far. It is too early yet to know whether Green will be remember as the least dishonest of these three owners but I have a feeling based on his ability to tell lies he will be found to be the biggest villain of all. He certainly has form.
