    Is back baby!

Telescore app. Just like the good old days of getting your footy news.

Dump Twitter etc, go Teletext. It is the future.

    Right in the nostalgia/youth.

I’ve sent it to about 15 people (59 plus if we include our footy group chat) and everyone that’s responded says same.

    Simple but superb.

I remember the first family TV with teletext. At the time I thought it was wizardry.

My dad used to sit in there for hours, to the dismay of the rest of the family, as we knew full well he’d go into town to book.

As a 10 year old kid this was not entertaining <laugh>

I remember having just miss the page that you were mainly interested in (the SAFC score for example), waiting for it to come around again.
Often, especially when on a portable TV, the eventual page would be a jumble of letters and shapes due to the poor signal, then intermittently half correcting itself and then trying to decipher what you've just seen before the page changes again.

I remember a Teletext or Ceefax headline about a Boro game when they had Uwe Fuchs playing for them that said "Uwe Fuchs off at Boro". Teats changed it later to "Fuchs sent off for Boro".

Just wait till they reintroduce Clubcall! Stay on the phone for half an hour, listening to adverts only to find there's no real news about the club!

Brilliant! My Dad used to watch Teletext all Saturday afternoon to get our scores. You could have it overlaid on the tv programme. So you could have the tv programme and teletext showing at the same time. So my mother would be watching a cowboy film and he would have teletext over the top of it. Bizarre!
