Conflicting reports this morning on Vitesse and The Netherlands U21 central midfielder Van Ginkel. Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reports that Vitesse Arnhem have accepted a 8.5 million Euro bid, 7.25 million pounds, from Chelsea for the 20 year old Marco van Ginkel. A deal between the player and the club is according to the newspaper still under negotiation. Van Ginkel is currently in Israel playing for the Dutch U21 team at the European Championship. Vitesse and Chelsea have a cooperation contract, Vitesse currently loans Van Aanholt, Kakuta and Tomas Kalas from Chelsea. However another Dutch Newspaper, Het Algemeen Dagblad(AD) have enquired with his agent, Kevin Jansen. Jansen confirms Chelsea have show interest in the player but also stated that no deal has been struck between the clubs. He also added that Van Ginkel will wait signing a deal until the European Championship in Israel is over. This is what I wrote when the Spurs section asked me the same thing: And on the Norwich board: In other words, IF he goes to Chelsea, he will be loaned out for at least two seasons. He will have no chance whatsoever to make it to the squad or even on the bench. He's a promising player but needs at least 2 or 3 more seasons to even consider playing in the top half of the table of the EPL.
Isn't that Adam Maher lad meant to be quality? I remember when rumours of Ajax letting Eriksen go circulated, their replacement was to be Maher...
The guy is like a young Wesley Sneijder, brilliant player already at age 19. I wrote all about him in my blog, which I didn't post here because I didn't think there would be any transfers from the Eredivisie to Chelsea this Summer. I can post it on the board if you want?
I'd be really interested to read about him pal... Him and Ilkay Gundogan are the two midfielders I'd love at Chelsea... They'd work a dream

Vitesse is our feeder club..........erm sorry associate team, so more likely us taking a youngster from them, where we can leave our over 21's there who don't make our 25 man squad. At 20 van Ginkel would not need to be registered.
