Great stuff, hope these players work out, then we can be the first club to voluntarily opt out of the transfer window BS and go totally organic.
Flanno has shown that it only takes the right attitude and the opportunity. I can imagine that he might get a couple of sub appearances this season and then be sent out on loan in the same way Suso has. So maybe a Spanish club or a progressive Championship club.
and can they gain the real world experience needed that exciting players get playing weekly like the stars of Southamptons double promotion and PL settlement do?
rodger should not touch kids like that... people will write nasty comments. oh wait.... oops. now.... teix.. good for him. put him and suso in as "options" then i wonder about the desire to buy two wingers. suso and teix are largely similar... ibe and sterling are... largely similar. If we get shut of moses and assiadi that do we really need to buy next year to supplement SAS. In my view the player type is a striker not a winger par se. someone who can play across the line or up top. i do think lads here are right. he'll be loaned next year
or do both. Going organic is what Arsenal have always done but they always shied away from making just that big money signing or two to really complete their squad - although I think they have realised that and are starting to open their wallets (ozil)
Does anyone know what happened with his loan spell because he wasn't out for long was he?? I think we all like to see younger players coming through....it's great to chart their progress but never easy to know which ones will step up. It must give the lads like Tex a massive boost seeing players like Sterling, Ibe and Flannel getting chances and keeping their place if they perform. Weird how often players on the fringes suffer when they step up yet some seem to thrive on it. I've not seen as much of the reserves the last 18 months as I used to but the times I saw Flannel last season he didn't really look like he was ready to step back up to first team level....lo and behold he's been an absolute godsend since coming back into the team. On current form he could well become a first team regular for a long time to come. Sterling too looked like he was beginning to drift at times last season but now he's becoming a real weapon (why were we looking at wingers in Jan???) and seems full of confidence from having some faith shown in him.
be some good no 10 to have if they live up to the impact that coutinho has had. rotation of Coutinho,Suso and tex, yes please
what happened to yesil? we piad like a million for him and was supposed to be a real star in the making
So reading through this and knowing we have Suso on loan ( although he is more of a wide player these days)......... why exactly did we buy Alberto then? Glad to here Tex is doing well, came a long way from getting his contract terminated at a league 1/championship side ( can't remember who).
who knows, why did we buy allen? i know he has his fans on here, but seriously, what does he do? maybe Alberto can rotate with henderson, he good enough to do that?
Don't think ALberto is a CM though? Think he is more of a SS, AM, winger and we have Suso and Tex, all very similar ( think MITO pointed that out). I personally like Alberto and hope he does well but hey may need to adjust his game. Good to hear about this kid though, came in with the whole "new deco" tag.
Alberto has moved from playing in the Spanish equivalent of the Championship to Liverpool FC. I think he deserves the time to settle. New country, new city, new team, new language, new system. Massive fan base, huge expectations. Next season we will see more of him I'm sure.
Allen keeps the ball which is a good quality for a squad player. He was also a #transitional purchase, one of Rodgers' first, someone he could trust and who suited the possession style we were going for back then. Now we place more more emphasis on pressing and counter attacking than possession.
