My ISP is EE, (used to be Orange), for several days now my internet keeps dropping in and out between 4 am and 6 am and again between 5 pm and 8 pm. They tell me it's because they are carrying out remedial work in the exchange.

Does this happen with any of you who are on different ISP's?

I can see they might be doing work early morning, as I know that is one of the quietest times on the Internet, but definitely not in the evening, as I imagine that is one of the busiest times and could just be so many people using it and causing it to slow down. If it continues for more than another few days, check again and threaten to go to a new provider if it doesn't improve.

I'd threaten to change providers Dave. That doesn't sound right. Are you in a remote country location?

I got it sorted on the phone today, they checked the signal to my router and discovered a problem which they solved in about 2 minutes flat! <ok>
