The Pats were the one team I never held possible to even consider Tebow, I was absolutely astonished when I read the news this afternoon, unbelievable...

Really? I was the opposite. I was surprised the Patriots hadn't picked him up already.

Josh McDaniels obviously likes him, there's going to be no QB controversy whatsoever in New England, and New England isn't the kind of team that suffers from "distractions." He'll just go there and be third string QB and maybe learn something. Plus it's a chance for Belichick to pick up a cut Jets player and try to turn him into a success so he can rub their faces in it. And he never misses a chance to that.

Plus all the money the Pats will make from Tebow's publicity.

Personally thought it was the perfect move for Tebow, he may have his weaknesses (like not being able to hit a barn door) but he's a hell of an athlete and can still be a dangerous weapon with the right team. The problem was that the Jets were categorically not the right team, no offensive creativity and huge media attention/distraction. The Pats can come up with all kinds of shenanigans, and the media lockdown they have will eliminate all the nonsense surrounding Tebow.

I don't think he's going to come in and get 1000 yards rushing or some such, but in the right situations he can definitely be effective.

The problem with Tebow is that you have to build your offense around him alone, if you want him to be a productive QB. The Jets just locked up on the whole situation and it really got sad. I felt sorry for Timmy Jesus because he wouldn't play and when he did he was clueless on what to do.

Everybody said that Billy Cheaterchick will be able to "manage" the situation. Certainly there is no QB controversy. They should send Timmy to the football leper colony now. Anywhere he goes, he will bring down the team from within by his sideshow aura.

And nobody wanted to put in a waiver claim. He's a free agent. I'm so happy :D
