Don't joke, Carragher said that would cause a 'Tssuuunaaarrrrrmi"
That's usually caused by him spitting in that area.
The silly thing is, before social media, I was always happy to see other English teams do well in european competitions. Even Liverpool & Man United. I'd actually want them to win.
But nowadays, you see see how thick fans of all teams (ours included) can be on social media - and you want them to NOT do well. Especially when it's all inflated by the likes of Neville and Carragher giving their ridiculously biased views on TV. Rather than wanting to support them, I want them to fail.
It's stupid really. In Europe we should want other English teams to do well. but in reality, if Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea or even Spurs look stupid, then I find it amusing. It's wrong, I know. But it is what itis.
I personally still like seeing Man City doing well, as the only fans of theirs I know are actually all top blokes. And did actually support them before they were rich. But maybe that's just my experience.
But most Liverpooland Man United fans just seem to think it's their birthright to be successful. So I find it amusing when they are not. Sad really.
Well I think we’re almost half way there.
I'm the same, only I want Sunland to do **** in Europe as well...oh, wait!
You are better than this Obi.
I know, but I did say it was pre social media days.
Times change, i remember our fans clapping Arsenal and Man Utd as they lifted the FA Cup against us, could you imagine that now? Maybe it's just society getting worse and all that.
I was only joking i agree with the sentiment but **** man u and liverpool though.
Believe it or not i can remember those days aswell.
"We were absolute dogshit at times this season. Hodgson era level bad. 5th is a decent finish given the level of performances earlier in the season, and the difference this season is Newcastle. We beat them twice and they still bought 4th. Any other season we would be there instead. I try not to pick out specific what if moments because there are far too many."
It's glorious that the bin dippers won't finish in the top four. It's a shame man ure will. Both sets of fans are gobby entitled tossers. I look forward to us inflicting more tears from them in the seasons to come.
I'd like to see the actual metrics of that table. Quite the outlier are LiVARpool, presuming it's not fudged.
A bit more in depth here
"If we do our job, we won't be worrying about these in the medium term. We have a better team(better base), a better manager and we earn more which is more important with the new restrictions coming in. In the next 4-5 years, they'll only finish above us if we take our eyes off the ball. Nobody should get carried away by one season where some top teams were below their normal level and one where Newcastle were playing one game a week (unlikely going forward)."
They are telling themselves we will go away.
They have some valid points. It certainly won't be easy for us to sustain the same levels and at the same time expect other clubs to underachieve again.
But they are the ones being delusional if they think we'll simply disappear after 1 year of disrupting the big boys. No, it might not be every season, but we'll be a nuisance far more than they would like to admit right now.
I don't think we will fall out of the CL places again now, especially with 5th place getting in next season.
Probably stay 4th ish next couple of seasons then we will start competing for the title.
We haven't even started spending properly yet and achieved top 4 in the first season.
Man City finished 10th in their first full season of wealth.
