Some people included wingers in my last thread so i thought id make a separate thread for this particular aspect of the squad. Teams Arsenal (walcott, aoc, gervinho, pod, gnabry (i think he will get a chance but dont expect others to rate him..yet!)) Spurs (lennon, bale, townsend (seems to be a good player but hasn't played much) Liverpool (sterling, suarez, downing, johnson) Manu (valencia, nani, young, kagawa and rooney can play there too) man city (nasri, sinclair, silva can play there though not these days, milner) Newcastle don't know too much about theres sunderland: i actually rate their wingers (johnson, sessegnon, mclean, laarson) chelsea (mata, hazard, sturridge, oscar?)
Where are we In the past we've had **** wingers but with Moses, Marin, Hazard, Oscar, Mata all being able to play on the wing (mainly the first three) I'd say we're up there. United have the best though for me, Valencia and Nani are the best wingers in the league on their day.
i agree though i think if you count suarez liverpool are actually pretty good in terms of starting wingers but not in terms of depth i would say chelsea manu man city arsenal sunderland spurs liverpool newcastle
'on their day' being the key word..been very impressed with hazard and despite being selfish i rate strurridge.
If anyone doesn't pick Chelsea, they obviously don't watch much football. Mata or Hazard could play for anyone in the PL.
Chelsea United (close with Chelsea though) Man City (I would include Silva) Arsenal Spurs Newcastle (Ben Arfa and Gutierrez) Sunderland (they have good depth, but I don't rate Sessegnon yet) Loserpool (Downing = Championship quality but Sterling has potential)
Man Utd (I think you will find, Valencia/Nani have more assists than anyone else) Chelsea Man City Arsenal Spurs
Yeah I would say Chelsea have the best options here. Hazard, Mata, Sturridge etc.. Walcott and Gervinho are both decent without being 'World Class'. Podolski is better as a Striker or Second Striker.(God knows why he's not getting more of a chance in that position) The Ox will be moved into central midfield I'm guessing. Carzorla can play on the wing but is doing well down the middle - cant see him being moved. Chelsea ManCity United Arsenal Tottenham
So you think Walcott and Gervinho (as a winger) are better than Bale and Lennon - try reading Arsenal fans views of Gervinho as a winger and Walcott doesn't even want to play there? Man City don't even play wingers ffs - do you think Nasri and Milner are wingers? I know it's hard to be objective about Spurs, but a little more realistic would be good.
The title says 'overall squad' and after Bale and Lennon who would Tottenham play? Arsenal have multiple options can't be said for Spurs.
