does any on know if the team we are playing are any good. i get that this tour is mainly selling QPR as a brand. but can we use this to see how far we have come from last year.
The Indonesian team (Persebaya Surabaya) looks very weak, one of their Nigerian players couldn't get a game at Crawley Town in 2011 which gives an idea of the level. That said the heat and humidity is a killer if one isn't used to it. Good website on football down that way: http://jakartacasual.blogspot.co.uk/
The results are irrelevant, it's getting fitness levels up and, as Queens says, selling the QPR brand. It'll be interesting to see what the starting line-ups are in each game...
Don't know much about the Sabah side, but I had the pleasure to see parts of MSL game between Kelantan FA - Perak (which finished fourth in MSL) while visiting Malaysia. It was a complete slaughter, Kelantan FA were 4 - 0 up after 30min, and won 6 - 0. They are the holding champions, having won the Malaysian Super League in 2011 and 2012, and were runners-up in 2010. This season they played 26 games, W18 D6 L2, won the title with 10 point margin, scored 53 goals against 18 conceded, and won the Malaysian FA Cup, so they are the best Malaysia has to offer. Hoping for some good games on the Asia Tour. Really need a fix of Hoops already, starting to get withdrawal symptoms, it's been so long since last game
I'm sure the standard has to be better than Bodmin and the like that we were playing on pre-season last year.
