As title The worst team to have won it is Chavski, they play negative football, and they cant fill a stadium.....ever Who do you choose.
It has to be chelsea, noone has ever opted out so much and prayed for luck as much as RDM and his 11 defenders. it wasnt that they played badly, they didnt play and the whole affair hung on blind luck totally out of their control. Chelsea all the way. Worst CL EC winners ever. Football got piles that night
Real Madrid They won it by default considering the utter ****e they played for the first few years. Chelsea/Liverpool in the CL era.
How Liverpool you gickbag? We played well in the second half, a little begruding bitterness methinks, 1999 was luckier than 2005 from INter to Juve to the final, jammy as fk
In 1999 we were very good throughout often being involved in the games of the tournament. It was a little different back then of course. We rode our luck like any other winners do. Liverpool just strike me as lucky, not quite the level chelsea were but still far more lucky than United were.
Yeah, it was real lucky the way we hammered Inter and Juventus. ****ing hell, halfwit doesn't even come close to doing it justice with you. I'll credit Liverpool with having to beat some good sides and a great come back in the final so it isn't them. One team who shouldn't have won is Porto given we had a perfectly good goal ludicrously disallowed which would have made their away goal irrelevant.
2 down to juve n they collapse, very uncharastic of them, Ronaldo missed bags of chances for inter and 2 goals in injury time after being outplayed for 90 againt bayern, we got luck in 45 minutes, not as lucky as liverpool, are you a complete fktard mate?
Not in the CL apparently, united were **** in the CL in 2005 not Liverpool they won it you ****** It was just the best CL final comeback ever
hammereed inter, are you on drugs, seriously? FKtard stfu and put that cock back in your mouth I take nothing seriously from a guy that pops a vessel in his eyeball from angry ****ing
Hmmm funny... I recall us taking part in the most entertaining group stage in CL history and arguably the toughest group ever drawn Beating Juventus on their own patch, a feat that should not be overlooked, I mean at the time Italian football was numero uno after all and Juventus were one of the best. Not being outplayed by bayern though its fair to say they probably edged it on play alone. Players missing chances? So chelsea and liverpool are amazing because torres and suarez couldnt hit a barn door? Interesting theory BBF
So Liverpool come back and it's the best ever, United come back against Juve and it's only because the opposition collapsed?
You post stuff like this and then whine when someone reacts. For the record you thick ******ed Paddy piece of utter ****e, yes we ****ing hammered them. I'll tell you something, you would not have the bottle to speak to me face to face like you do on here. Whatever gets you through your sad, lonely, pathetic existence. ****.
In all fairness their 3-2 over Juve showed character. Roy Keane played out of his skin even though he knew he would miss the final. Anyway any side that wins the CL deserves to win it. I don't begrudge Chelsea even though the final for 87 minutes was rubbish. Chelsea didn't come out and play until Bayern scored. Chelsea were always going to win on penalties as Bayern won on penalties in an earlier round and got through by the skin of their teeth.
I know it was a good few years back Drogs but my recollection from being at the game was Ronaldo didn't play and we were two up within the hour. Comfortable victory. He played in the away leg, patently injured, and barely got a kick. Missed loads of chances in arsewipes Guinness addled mind though. To be sure.
Just what I was thinking. That was the season after he collapsed before the WC final and he was clearly unfit for both games. We rode our luck a wee bit, with Butt clearing off the line at OT, and Schemichel almost conceding a penalty at the San Siro, but then who doesn't have a bit of luck in two legged games? And lol at the idea that Juve "collapsed". Pretty sure Inzaghi scored two in the first ten mins, then our comeback started with a Keane goal after about 25 minutes, and ended when we scored our third five minutes from time after Cole and Yorke sliced the defence open. We fought our way back the entire way through that match, wearing Juve down over the course of an hour of attacks, and Juve gave as good as they got with Inzaghi always dangerous on the counter. Hardly a collapse of the like that saw Milan ship three goals in five minutes, including the keeper letting in perhaps the tamest long shot of all time and Steven "I hate diving" Gerrard getting the sniper treatment after Gattuso brushed his knuckles.... Btw, if we're mentioning luck then I can't believe no one has mentioned the 'ghost goal' in that semi final Oh, and for my money the worst CL winners were Marseille in 1993. Not only were they a bag of nails, Voller, Boksic and Deschamps aside, who needed Barcelona and Leeds to **** up in order to get to the final, they also bribed their opponents for their last game in the French league to allow them to rest players for the CL final. After all that, they parked the bus and won 1-0 with a goal from a corner IIRC. Cheese eating surrender ****s.
