About teams changing colours, I think you will find Leeds changed under Don Revie and that was barely 40 years ago, if that. Arsenal used to play in Maroon and although the change is subtle its still a change. I can remember Man city playing in Red and black stripes as their home colours in my footie watching years so where did the pale blue come from? We won't even mention MK Dons will we????
The colour doesn't make or break the team, its the players the managers and the people who support them (Both inside and outside the club) that makes the team. We need this like a drowning man needs air. Lets breath!!
Coventry City had a chocolate brown strip just a couple of years ago. I wonder if Moley bought that one?
John, let me turn this discussion on it's head, just for a giggle.
Here is the scenario.....Cardiff City have owners who come from country where their 'lucky colour's' are White & Black and their lucky animal was a Swan.
How would you feel about your team playing in White shirts and maybe white or black shorts with a Swan logo?![]()
John trying his best to justify cardiff wanting to sell their soul.......it dont wash son...

I can remember that too but not certain if it was their 'normal' home colour's or not and I do recall Leeds playing in Yellow but again I am not sure if that was 'normal'. I have a sneaky feeling they were just short term changes, maybe 1 or 2 seasons at most.
Simon!
I think you'll find the brinkmanship will dissipate when everyone gathers around the table today. Let's be honest if Bates was to employ the same tactics, initially there would be uproar but get past the emotion which exists at both Cardiff and Leeds and you would find, when it is proven to create long term stability for your club there is always a common goal to find a way forward by both parties. The investors were testing the waters before talks. I believe there will now be a spirit of goodwill and compromise.
