QPR on Sunday and then a massive home game vs Newcastle on the Wednesday, I'm sure Newcastle won't beat Wigan so points dropped on Sunday wouldn't be catastrophic. We've got to look at resting players before the final and have to assume Luiz and Cahill are out for the season. For QPR, maybe something like this: please log in to view this image And then for Newcastle something like this: please log in to view this image
Surely Ivan will play at CB.I would think Ferreira will get a run out too probably v QPR. These games are just as important and we must win them.
Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm sure i read in the paper a couple of weeks ago he got a 3 match ban for punching a Wigan player and the first suspension game was only the arsenal game?
Even in your current predicament I can't believe you'd play a 17 year-old at centre-half against someone like Zamora.
In the same way your probably certain you'll beat us or finish above us. It's just a prediction. I was sure QPR would beat Spurs and I am sure Wigan will beat Newcastle.
I definitely hope to see Ferreira in there for the QPR game! Lets not forget we have Luiz hoping for an early return!
No the first game was the semi v Spuds. He is back for Newcastle.....so yes,you were wrong and I did correct you.
That's news. In the last 2 press conferences Robbie never named him as injured but did Luiz,Romeu etc.
According to physio room, Chelsea's only injuries are for Luiz, Cahill and Bertrand. Luiz they've put return date for Sunday but no date for Cahill and Bertrand. However, I haven't heard anything to say their injuries are serious. http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php
Agreed. Terry and Ivan should really be playing (suspension aside) to ensure the other 2 can recover from their injuries and stay free from further injuries in the lead up to the final. I'm gonna say it, but fuk the league. If we manage to string some results together and get top 4 great but these cup finals are what makes and breaks our season. How many C.L finals come along in a lifetime? To that end, we should also be giving Romeu and Essien a bit more of a run out as they may have to play in the final and they haven't had too many minutes recently.
Good question. For me we have to go for the C.L. We could win all our remaining league games and still not get top 4. One win in Munich and we lift the big one and get CL place anyway.
I am not certain of finishing above you, in fact I would consider it unlikely we will finish above top 6. If you say you are certain it suggests you know something that makes your stated outcome inevitable. If you are merely making a wishful prediction state "I hope" or "I predict" instead
In the balance with this, but I don't think we can afford to give up on 4th. Who knows what will or won't happen in the final, but we've got to work on the basis that 4th is still possible (which it is) and that we may not get a result in the ECL final (or FA Cup possibly). Can't give up on the league as we've got a big say in the possibility of assisting with sending QPR down as well!
