Right now it looks certain that Nigel Pearson will be announced as our new manager any time today which players do you think Nigel will like and wont like. Nigel wants his centre halfs to be solid and take no chances, I think Nigel will like Matt Mills but he may have problems with Sol Bamba as he is too flamboyant and tries to skin the strikers too often. I think Nigel will like Peltier but maybe not Pantsil. In the midfield King, Wellens, Dyer, Gallagher and Oakley are Nigels players, will Nigel like Yuki Abe and Michael Johnson. Nigel tried to sign Neil Danns for Hull, what is happening with Gelson Fernandes. Does he have an injury we dont know about, or is he sulking that Sven left as he hasnt been involved since Sven left. Up front Nugent is Nigel's type of player and we all know Nigel likes Steve Howard. But I think Nigel might clash with Jermaine Beckford, Beckford is a little lazy and has an ego something we all know Nigel doesnt stand for. Here he clashed with DJ Campbell, Joe Mattock, Max Gradel and at Hull Jimmy Bullard. We he want to try and man manage Beckford or just get rid.

I think its safe to say Martyn Waghorn will be returning in the next few days but will Nigel want to bring back Jack Hobbs and Matty Fryatt. Neither would be first choice but both i think they are better options then St. Ledger and Vassell

Hopefully Nigel will be able to sort out Andy King

So who do you think Nigel will clash with and will be his favourites

I'd guess Nigel will come here with an open mind and judge the players on how they do in training. Most of them are proven Championship players so I don't think he'll have too many problems with them. If they do well in training, he'll pick them and if they don't, he won't it's as simple as that. Nigel's always united a squad well and got great team spirit and I think that's something else he'll create here.

If Beckford does start to sulk and have an attitude about him then I can't see much of a future for him but I think he will knuckle down because I feel he might benefit from Nigel's no-nonsense management.

Bamba is an interesting one because whilst he does believe in his ability and play on the edge at times, nobody can doubt he has all the facets of a top quality centre-half so, with Nigel being an ex CB, I'd hope he would work with Bamba to maybe get him to play the percentages more because that is what I feel Nige will want him to do because if we do discard him because of his flamboyancy, then we're chucking away a very good defender. I don't think it's a bad thing to have a defender who can play out from the back, as long as he knows when to do it.

At least Bamba plays football, and does not just hoof the ball anywhere!
Fyatt would not come back, dont think he would make the bench and he knows it!

To be fair I think the only problem may be beckford. If he had an attitude playing under sven then it wont get better under pearson. If he can get the midfield playing like he did 2 seasons ago then great. I can see tunch starting with mills.
