I don't normally start match threads but I've suddenly had a thought about the Newcastle game:

After playing us Monk and Mouriniho got sacked - will we make it a hat trick with McClaren?

Also lets stick with the same team - why change a winning formula :smiley-finger007:

.... part of ther eason behind our success is the stability of the starting XI ... injuries aside ... no brainer.

Some rests in order for me.

Schlupp, Ulloa and King in for Albrighton, Kante and Shinji.

Those three have done well off the bench. Would be good to reward them for it.

I think possibly schlupp for albrighton but leave the other two
king has done well but displace either Kante or Drinkwater?
and shinji does help vardy hassle the defence

Kante looked a bit tired on Saturday for me.

If we can't win this game without him then we don't deserve to win the league, let's be serious.

Ulloa loves a goal against Newcastle.

Remember that the game is on next Monday - they have a week to rest up.

They had two weeks to rest before the Norwich game yet still looked tired.

Have them fit and raring to go for the tougher games IMO.

I'd be amazed if there are any starting line-up changes barring knocks ...

Reckon McClaren will be gone before we play them, rumours are that Moyes is coming in. If we thrash them maybe he'll get sacked as well? We do like to get rid of managers whose name begin with M (Martinez had a lucky escape after we played Everton, clearly!).

They don't need a rest and this isn't the time to take anyone for granted. We get 3 points for beating Newcastle just like we got 3 points for beating Man City

As mentioned there is a long gap between fixtures and Claudio has given them a few extra days off

Not a chance of "resting" players at such a critical stage of the season.
We play our best available 11 players, end of story.
Can you imagine if Ranieri did suddenly now make 3 changes to the team against Newcastle that were not enforced through injuries and we lost the game........ Christ almighty the fans would have a meltdown
The players have enough in their tanks for the last 9 games just as they did at the end of last season
They will then have a nice long summer off and fully deserved too

Only players that have been interchangable all season has been Okazaki and Ulloa. Okazaki has had the nod more often then not but everyone else has won their shirt by merit

Now is not the time to start resting the likes of Vardy, Mahrez, Kante because Newcastle seems an "easy" game on paper

If we take that mentality we will not win the league

... true but missing the point ... the current starting eleven have a collective belief and dropping any of them other than for injuries could undermine that ...

I would rather get points on the board, they can rest in the summer ... or when the titles ensured <laugh><ok>

They are already getting more rest than the other teams, picking up 3 points will be a big conscientious blow to our rivals as they slog their way through Europa/Champions/FA Cup competition.

Come on Hull, take Arsenal the full 120 minutes for us!

All opinions of course, but I just feel that those who have came off the bench/have been given rare starts recently have performed very well and they are as much of a part of the squad's collective spirit and belief as anybody.
