I think this will be another trial game, albeit with some of the youngsters who didn't feature on Saturday... Prob play Ruiz for 45 mins again to give him some games and get him in better fitness for Saturday. Who is going??
I'll be there ! I'd keep the same defence as Saturday (bar Hutchinson !) They still make me nervous so need to have as much time together as possible.
I'll be there! As well as Ruiz, Amorebieta needs game time. I've not been convinced with Stafylidis in the middle whereas okay at LB. Kind of similar not convinced with Hoogland at RB (certainly defensively) and Voser, who hasn't been all that great could perhaps improve with more games. Dan Burn was arguably at fault with Blackburn's goal but I can't see Kit doing a Felix and dropping him on the back of that. So my back four is: ...Voser...Burn...Amorebieta..Stafylidis.. There's a fair chance that Parker will be rested, and I think David is carrying a knock. Woodrow likewise and Hugo took a real battering on Saturday so not sure how he'll be with only a couple of days recovery. There's been a mild debate about Pat Roberts starting as opposed to coming on as an impact sub. However this would seem to be the ideal match for him, and George Williams, to have a go from the beginning. My remaining outfielders then would be: ..........Hoogland....Hyndman.... ..Roberts......Ruiz.........Williams... ..............Mc Cormack...... With Marcus Bettinelli in goal.
I'd be very happy with that line up C58. If Eisfeld is available I think he'll play though. Possibly R. Williams too. Not sure where though.
We need a win just to boost a bit of morale, I would play a strong team, I like the look of Cottagers starting 11
As I have said before not happy with either Bettinelli or Amorebieta \(who is a sending off waiting to happen) Mc C in the middle with Rodders, Hyndman,Roberts, & Burgess inc, yes I will be one of the couple of thousand attending.
Ignore my previous post, I like C58's team. A win would go a long way, but that goes without saying! COYW
I think we should pick a strong team - as close to Kit's first eleven as fitness permits. At this stage of the season players don't need a rest, whereas the team (and the fans) needs the morale boost that a win would provide. Also, it gives combinations within the team more time to develop. Having said Kit should pick his strongest eleven, I have no idea what that should be! I liked Bodorov when I saw him play, and would be happy with him and Burn in the centre if we're playing a back four, and I'd like Hyndman back in the side.
Cottager's team sounds a good option. My only concern is that both Amo and Burn are left footed with a tendency to get in each other's way... Bodurov to balance things out seems a good call but I think Amo played well, despite some others criticising him. Do not forget that this league takes requires some physical presence, Kit himself said so!

This is more like it! I won't get too carried away with this result, considering Doncaster are a league below we SHOULD be winning this game, but it's still something to try and build on.
Oh well, it wouldn't be Fulham if we have killed it in the first half! Don't know what happened in the second half but completely fell apart! In any case this is a step forward! COYW
Sadly couldn't make it tonight - were there any Magath chants? I see the crowd was quite small, they were offering free seats to season ticket holders (and advising fans to get there early (I reckon to buy the beer and make up on the lower ticket income)). It's a win, nothing more really.
The crowd tonight was 8070. (The “free” ticket was part of the incentive package for ST holders to buy early - before 9th May - and offered only in the off chance we got relegated. ) So far as the match was concerned the first half an hour was scintillating. Two well taken goals (Bryan and Burn) preceded by two dreadful misses by McCormack and Hugo. But it was the movement off the ball that was so pleasing to the eye. Thereafter we managed only one more shot on goal. That second half was dreadful. We resorted to the usual across the middle passes, which inevitably went backwards and followed by aimless hoof after hoof. The Doncaster half time substitution was really astute and they completely bluttered our right side defence - I use that word hastily as Hoogland and Bodurov were completely at sea. Our substitutions on the contrary were too late and ineffective. Arguably Kit was erring on the side of caution but I’d seriously question the merit in replacing a left back like for like and leaving Stafylidis in midfield - he was awful in that position all night. And what was the point in giving George Willliams 5 minutes. In the end we, the fans, were saved the trauma of extra time thanks to a wonderful penalty save by Bettinelli. Although how the erstwhile Mr Friend adjudged, even saw, that to be an intentional handball by Hoogland is beyond me. And there we have it a win, which we’ve all got to be delighted with - if not the manner then the confidence boost - and into the next round. I’ll be doubly delighted with a home tie since, for some of us ’lucky people’, this means another ’free’ ticket - the second of the two included in the incentive to buy ST package.
