City Starting 11: Schmeichel, Peltier, Konchesky, Bamba, Gallagher, Howard, King, Dyer, St Ledger, Wellens, Nugent. Full team news at www.lcfc.com. Interesting ... Bench: Weale, Tunchev, Abe, Fernandes, Beckford Tunchev \o/ must have impressed during training.
Im surprised Beckford got dropped as he looked better then Nugent last week, as much as i like Nugent i would like to see Howard and Beckford together Good to see Tunchev on the bench
Surprised to see Big Steve in aswell, but like Tunchev, he must also have impressed in training he will give 110% hope he scores!!
They have a 21 year old goalkeeper in some maybe the idea is the get the crosses in and get Howard on the end of them
When was the last time Howard ever got on the end of a cross? When was the last time he ever won anything in the air? When was the last time he ever spent more than 20 seconds without moaning at the referee? As much as I love him for his enthusiasm and commitment I think he's past it. I would have prefered Schlupp to come in for Becks if anything. However, Becks has looked razor sharp recently and just needs that little bit of luck and service and he'll be on fire. We need to stick by him and 'put our arms around his shoulder'. He'll come good soon but if he is going to be good then he needs to be playing with better service. Not from Dyer and Gallagher but from two quality wingers who will provide that delivery we need.
I agree i wouldnt of changed Beckford. He is starting to come close to scoring which is something he wasnt doing at the start. I think you just have to keep playing him and wait for the goals to come and they will come in a bucket load
Matt Mills was on Soccer AM this morning, he said it was never a red. He is back for the Ipswich game Jordan Rhodes has just scored again and now Cardiff are 1 nil down to Middlesborough
