Don't think we can find out until tomorrow cider, but my team would be Gerken Riberio Carey Fontaine Foster Bolaise Reid Kilkenny Ephraim Pitman Jackson
The team tomorrow will give us big clues as to those who will still be there next season. I agree with Ribeiro at right back or even centre back, leaving Foster at right-back, - if Ribs is not in the side, then we must assume he will be on his way. If Wilson is fit, play him with Ribs at right back. I would not offer Carey another contract as while he has been in good form for the last two or three games, can he produce that form, stay injury free for a whole season. I think not, we must all move on. At left back what about Dan Ball? Bolasie and Reid I agree with, although Reid out wide with Skuse alongside him if Cole is fit is another option. But certainly no point in playing Ephraim unless he is on DMc's shopping list which I doubt. Put Joe Bryan on the left of midfield and keep Pearson as the other central midfielder. Up front Stead and Jackson. This means that the strong "Spine" that we have used recently remains intact - Gerken / Fontaine / Pearson / Stead to hang on five youngsters, 6 if you include Bolasie, on to the senior, experienced spine plus Foster. Gerken Foster (only if Wilson not fit) Ribeiro Wilson (if fit) Fontaine Ball Bolasie (only if Skuse not fit) Reid Pearson Bryan Stead Jackson Subs; Lewis Carey, Louis Carey(#), Jamie McAllister (#), Kilkenny, Pitman (#) to give them their final few minutes for City so the travelling fans can show their appreciation. Possibly also may apply to Pitman?
gerks foster ribs wilson mcgivern bolasie skuse (if fit reid otherwise) pearson bryan stead jackson Subs James (last time) louis carey pits wood adomah
Spot on Shiny Reid and Kilkenny were made for each other-its almost indecent Hey thats cool. We are able to blog the oncoming match without hints of desperation
Bolaise Reid Kilkenny Ephraim 'Reid and Kilkenny were made for each other' ?? We'd be overrun. To quote McEnroe - 'You cannot be serious'.
James; Edwards, Carey, Fontaine, McAllister; Bolasie, Pearson, Skuse, Woolford; Wood, Pitman Subs: Bryan, Taylor, McGivern, Kilkenny, Adomah
Hogan Ephraim and Dekel Keinan both returned to their clubs yesterday, Jon Stead has been playing with stitches in his foot so is rested today, and we have no keeper on the bench
Glad to see Joe Edwards given another chance. To think the last time he started was the last game of the season again Preston where he won man of the match. Hopefully he wont have to wait until the last game of next season to get his next start
Am I disappointed with this team with exception of Edwards. Is he giving James, Carey and McAllister a farewell game or is he seriously considering them for another season? I really hope not! Why McGivern on the bench? Should have put Ball or Foster there. Does he want McGivern for next season? No Bobby Reid! No Ribeiro!
