Well after today we need the shake the team up a bit. Andy King needs to be dropped, Beckford doesnt deserve a start and the back line was a bit shaky today so i think there should be some changes. St. Ledger has done ok but hasnt exactly made the shirt his own so Matt Mills will come back in for the Leeds game. David Nugent was our best player today purely for his effort. With West Ham full of tall players like Charlton Cole, John Carew, Addoulaye Faye and Kevin Nolan i think Steve Howard should start to help us defend corners, free kicks and I think he would link up well with David Nugent. I think John Pantsil should come in aswell with him playing against his former club and the freshen the team up, not saying Peltier is playing bad but we could do with a little experience next week. So here is my team for West Ham Schmeichel Pantsil Bamba St. Ledger Konchesky Fernandes Johnson Gallagher Wellens Howard Nugent Peltier Abe Dyer Danns Beckford
Same back 5 for me. Nugent and Schlupp up front. But please forgive me, I cannot pick a midfield again. It's a waste of time. Who deserves to start? Who has performed well consistently? Who is most likely to make an impact? After todays performance Dyer should start, but the rest is anyones guess. You could put Danns and Fernandes in to shake things up but they havent been consistent either. If Gally's fit, I might pick him. But honestly, I haven't got a clue who to put in midfield.
Gally is fit, he could of played today but Sven didnt want to risk him. We missed his set peices and Mills leadership today
Smeich Konch Bamba Peltier Pantsil Dyer Johnson Fernades Danns Nugent Beckford Howard Schlupp St ledge Wellens Abe
King has got to be dropped - looked totally out of his depth, was gobsmacked he didn't get hooked today
But Sven won't will he? His team selections have always been the thing that has frustrated me most about Sven - it's like he's playing Football Manager on the PC or something. He doesn't seem to cater his team selections to the likely personnel or tactics that the opposition are likely to bring. Now, whilst I wouldn't recommend wholesale changes simply based on the way your next opponent is likely to play, the players aren't just ball-kicking automatons; sometimes, picking certain players for certain situations can be the difference between 0 points and 1, or 1 point and 3. Sven, unfortunately, doesn't seem to quite grasp this.

If we were to go for some width i would put Johnson & Wellens central, Dyer left, Danns right and leave the as is. But maybe West Ham away is not the game for this.
