After a series of bad performances and defeats we need a bit of a shake up. No injuries from the weekend so we have a fully fit squad to choose from. So here is what i would go with

    Schmeichel

    Moore
    Morgan
    Wasilewski

    De Laet
    Schlupp

    Cambiasso
    King
    Drinkwater

    Vardy
    Ulloa

Subs- Smith, Simpson, Hammond, James, Mahrez, Nugent, Wood

I would swap Vardy for Wood and Drinkwater for James plus find a place on bench for Powell.

Not a bad shout at all Proud, although I don't think we will go 3 at the back, although I have been crying out for this formation for months.

No King in the side for me - he slows us down and can only pass sideways or backwards, sooner see James at least he tries to go forward

    Schmeichel
    Simpson Moore Morgan Konchesky
    Cambiasso James
    Mahrez Drinkwater Vardy
    Ulloa

Subs; Smith, King, Wasileski, Wood, Schlupp, Hammond, Knockeart.

Needs some solidity in midfield and some pace down the flanks as an outlet. No point in trying to sit back and soak up Southampton as we've shown this isn't working for us. Not saying go toe to toe with them, but we need to show a bit more imagination and options across the pitch. We may well lose this one but I'd prefer to see us having a go our way rather than worrying about the other team and setting out a formation to try and combat their approach. Southamptons run has got to come to an end sooner or later.

Agree with this side, personally think it is our strongest although have yet to see much from Simpson, De Laet has been pretty steady apart from the lapse for Swansea's second. Would like to see Schlupp get a rocket then send him on for the last 20.

10 games in I was expecting us to have about 13 - 15 pts & sitting mid table(ish). Clearly some work to do on the training pitch & some long hard looks in the mirror needed. Does chopping & changing help much ? We don´t seem to know what XI to play.

I never thought it was going to be easy but at the mo we just ain´t defending well & we ain´t making chances up front, maybe we´re realising we ain´t a prem team as things currently stand.
They´ll be 5 or so teams at the bottom most of the season with 1 or 2 of them pulling away some time in March, I just hope we´re one of them & not one of the ones being left behind.

I can handle losing if we play well (Chelsea game) but when you´re playing badly, not keeping clean sheets & not having many shot at goal then you start to wonder/worry. Sorry to be so negative but that´s my opinion & how I feel right now.

Morning all. This should be a home banker but as we all know it never works like hat. Have a lot of time for Pearson as a manager and hope you stay up. Everything points to a comfortable home win but................

I think our team will be:

Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Alderweireld, Bertrand, Cork, Schneiderlin, Tadic, Davis, Mane, Pelle.

Oh and really hope Hammond plays some part on Saturday. He was a big fans favourite while at Saints and will get a great reception.

Schlupp HAS to be at LM really.

Also, on a serious note, is King and Hammond our best CM option!?

King, Drinkwater and Cambiasso for me. James has only made negative contributions for me so far this season and hasn't impressed. Those 3 all add something different to the team. King only really does well in a 3 man midfield. Stick Mahrez and Schlupp, or Albrighton/Knockaert (we have enough wide players now! either side of Ulloa up top. Someone needs to be whipping crosses in to the box, and if Ulloa doesn't reach them, then King's late runs might. We're not going to boss the midfield, no matter how many we stick in there, like against West Brom. We need to use our width and pace.

Back to basics and the side that drew the best performance of the season so far.

    Schmeichel
    De Laet Morgan Moore Konchesky
    Mahrez King Hammond Schlupp
    Nugent
    Ulloa

The likes of Vardy, Cambiasso and Drinkwater haven't been good and it seems that their United performance have kept them in the side. I think it's time to go back and reward the players that have played the best football for us this season.
