    ----------Bettinelli---------
    Grimmer-----Bodurov----Hutchinson----Stafylidis--
    Fofana----Hyndman-----Christensen----
    ------Ruiz--------McCormack
    ---------Rodalllega

What worries me is this statement from Kit Symons
“We need to be patient, we need to keep the ball, we need to work the openings, and when they come along – there won’t be very many – we need to make sure we’re ruthless in front of goal and take our chances when they come.”

The only time we seem to do well at home is when we have between 15-20 shots on goal and either match or dominate the attack. Everytime we try to play this possession game we get nowhere fast and end up giving the opposition time to get and organise their defense and hit us on the break.

It looks the most likely formation given they had a good game last week...

I can see Parker possibly back in for Hyndman

Just hoping for a win every time we win a few and look like we are about to jump from the bottom section into mid table we go and lose again!

    A few questions spring up
Will Scott Parker come back in for Hyndman, or will Symons stick with the youngsters from last week.
If players like Ruiz know they are leaving in the January will they start to pull out, trying not to get injured,
reports from Germany say Bremen are desperate to get him as they are in relegation trouble.

Sounds like Kacaniklic is coming back, but won't be able to play until the New Year due to the rules, wonder where
he will be fitted in. He was never great at defending, wonder if he will get a more central midfield role? and where does that
leave players like Eisfeld or David who seem out in the cold, or even Williams.

Hoogland is having an operation so he will be out til next February, and Amorebieta problem hasn't cleared up so might be out longer,
which means we need to get fullbacks. Any suggestion who to get?

I think he might play Parker, but the problem I see with Parker is that he tends to slow the game down, the younger players always seem to use him as their
go-to man, and his distribution to the attacking midfield is slow, and the opposition always target him for those reasons.

Two things for me. I hope the team that played against Watford stays at home (metaphorically speaking). Desparate for a win as my younger brother supports the Owls.

    Morning all,

It seems as though Sheffield Wednesday were the draw specialists last season, so it could be a tight game. The Parker / Hyndman debate is tricky. Yes Parker can slow the game down but he also can be a the composed player required at times. That said, Hyndman has shown just as much abiltoy and composure when I have seen him play. He also demonstrates a better passing range and looks to create attacking play whilst Parker can be a bit sideways. Either will do a job today a but I wowuld go with Hyndman just for his positive passing play. Great to have Betts back as well. If as reports suggest Ruiz is off in January, I would bench him. George Williams looks a great play and will scare any defence with his direct pace.

Whoever plays, this is is the sort of game we need to win if we want to get out of the bottom of the table. A win would put us in touching distance of the pack but a loss could drop us 2 clear wins away.

S B Mc. as I posted on a previous thread Kyle Naughton could be on the move in Jan,
versatile full back although a bit volatile. Speedy and can play on both flanks could well suit us.

Kunye he would certainly assist in the future awards for the unfair play league! LOL, I don't recall when we have had so many dismissals, many of them quite unjust too.

Selection of our last starting 11 would be good but as others say, probably Parker coming back in, and of course reverting back of our man between the sticks.

Or, just the winning team :emoticon-0107-sweat

    Parker in for Hyndman.

What's happened to Voser, Burgess, Eisfeld, Fazlic, David, Chihi, Dembele and the lesser seen/known Casasola? Injured, crap or just not fancied by Kit? It seems to be the same pool of players every week with one or two tweaks here and there. None of the guys mentioned above even get places on the bench.

    Well my summary would be:
    - I think that Voser, Fazlic & Chihi have not exactly shown much and are not exactly missed by fans.
    - Burgess, Dembele and Casasola are all young players and I just think Kit wants to try and create a more balanced team in terms of experience levels. I don't think anyone could say we don't have enough young players in the first team squad right now.
    - David & Eisfeld are being kept out by Ruiz; not sure I agree with that if Bryan is leaving us in two weeks, but that really is a case of Kit not really fancying in the team right now.

Of some interest is the fact that Kit seems to be losing confidence in Dan Burn. I think Burn has been a little disappointing this season and its telling that Hutchinson is getting the chance to put his (even worse) early performances behind him.

Well, we don't deserve to be 2-0 up but we are. That is the extra quality we have in our squad from players like McCormack.

We are getting overrun again in the middle of the park. Why is it that since Murphy left, we can never seem to compete in midfield?

EDIT: This half time thing with Diddy Hamilton makes me really want him back... :(

Don't want to get too ahead of myself here, just making sure of the win is most important, but would be nice to see us go on and get a few more goals, we're due a good convincing win. Not really had one since possibly Charlton (3-0) and before that Bolton (4-0).

    3-0

Has any player in the Championship grown as much this year as LVC?

15-20 mins to go with the game won (I hope!!!), would like to see Woodrow and Roberts get on for some game time.

Woodrow gets 8 mins and Roberts gets 3 mins, hardly worth it.

4-0 Woodlow penalty after a foul on Roberts.

So a little worth it, at least.

As I say that Woodrow scores, maybe it was worth it!

Yeah, happy for Woodrow to get the goal and if Roberts was involved then even better but in a game like this that was won with time to spare I'd still like to see them get on a bit earlier. For Kit to show the confidence in them that he's willing to rely on them to play a part and not just be there making up numbers.

Also fair play to the senior players like Parker and McCormack, who I'm sure would've fancied taking the penalty but let Woodrow step up and get his goal.
