As you’ll pick up from today’s internal video with Kit, there will be changes for tomorrow night’s game --

With Amorebietta still out and by the sounds of it now Hoogland, there’s few options for him in the back four. Kit also confirmed that playing Kavanagh ( a conventional left back ) in midfield was tactical and I got the impression that won’t be repeated for this game. His options in midfield are equally limited though. He’s going to play LVC and despite Parker “being running on empty” at the end of Saturday’s game, he’ll be there as well. The question then is who joins them or will he change the format?

In their 2-1 win over Leeds, Rotherham proved that they’re a gutsy side and the battle to be won is going to be in midfield. Unless .. we can keep them on the backfoot. On Saturday we relied a lot on hoofing the ball and fair play to Hugo he won a lot in the air, but few of his headers ended with us gaining control. Don’t know the position with Smith - it has been suggested he’s got a back injury. However if he is okay, is this a time to play both of them?

A suggested line-up then:

………………..Bettinelli……………….
..Zverotic….Bodurov…Burn…..Stafylidis…
……………Parker….Christensen….
…..Ruiz………………………McCormack….
………….Smith…….Hugo….

I think Hyndman might come in for Parker, you know.

Sounds like he may rest a few, may be Parker Hyndman might come in for him as we play again Friday.
Hoogaland not fit Zverotic might keep his place. David might come in for Ruiz on a wet and windy night in Rotherham.
If Eisfeld is fit play him instead of Christensen
………………..Bettinelli……………….
..Zverotic….Bodurov…Burn…..Stafylidis…
…Eisfeld………Hyndman.…….Kavanagh……………
…………....David......................….
…….Hugo…...McCormack......

I'm going for:

Bettinelli; Zverotic, Burn, Bodurov, Kavanagh; Parker, Hyndman, Stafylidis; David, McCormack; Rodallega.

Honestly, we need Parker to be playing games. I know we have 3 games in 6 days, he has old legs and ran himself into the ground at the weekend, but he's our captain and we have no obvious replacement for him.

I expect Kavanagh to switch back to LB, with Stafylidis coming into the side of a 3 man midfield. This could be a good game to throw in someone like George Williams or Pat Roberts in place of McCormack or Rodallega, to mix things up and try and keep some freshness for Friday.

If I were Kit I'd play Parker tonight in the game tonight.

Against Norwich we sat back and countered. Treating Norwich as the home side almost. Can we play the same way against Rotherham?

I've to Rotherham a few times. Friendly bunch and I hopeful of a decent, Fulhamish performance.

Word on the street (well the usual social media) is that George Williams is starting.

Could it be that Ruiz, as SuperBri suggested, is being saved from a wet and windy night in Rotherham and rested for Friday at the Cottage? Mind you, the weather lot are predicting that will also be a wet and windy night.

Based on Woodrow's Twitter account he's in the squad. He came off after 45 for the U21s on Saturday so I wonder if he starts. Maybe him for Hugo and Williams for Ruiz. I just can't see Bryan at his best on a wet and windy night at Rotherham.

It's a bad sign for David (if fully fit?) that when there's a bit of tinkering with the team being done he still can't get a game, or even get on the bench for that matter.

Also, I'm a bit surprised that neither Ruiz or Hugo are at least on the bench? 15-20 mins to go if we're needing a goal, they'd be good options to have.

Surely Smith, Roberts and Dembélé are not bad choices though.

We've been alright away from home, I fancy McCormack to score tonight.

Certainly plenty of youth and energy in that team. Hopefully they'll be able to work as a team.

As Fab Fabio says, Chris David not even being on the bench is a bit of a surprise. No indication that he's injured and hope it's not an attitude problem, or indeed fitness. Taarabt comes to mind.

Is that our first penalty this season? I can't remember us being given any before now.

Anyway, McCormack scores it and we're level.
