Great 4-0 win tonight but the season starts proper on Saturday. So what team would you pick, here is what I would do

    Schmeichel

    De Laet
    Moore
    Morgan
    Konchesky

    Marshall
    Drinkwater
    Danns
    Dyer

    Nugent
    Vardy

    Subs

Logan, King, James, Knockaert, Beckford, Waghorn, Schlupp

Maybe harsh on Matty James after he scored today but I fully expect Danns to come in mainly for his experience

Same as started tonight for me. Harsh on Danns and Nuge, but James is class and it seems NP wants sheer pace up front.
Only poss change would be Knockaert in for Dyer

With it being the opening day of the season we are going to need a bit of experience in the centre of the park. As Nigel said everyone is going to have big parts to play this season but I think Danns will start with the shirt with Drinkwater who has been our best player during pre season

I think Nugent will start. Beckford was misfiring again tonight. Nugent was top goalscorer last season.

Same team for me. This team was picked based on the best players through pre-season and players like James have earnt the shirt thus far and deserve to keep it.

I have to agree- you can't drop a goalscorer in my opinion, regardless of the opposition. Therefore both James and Dyer should start, with Danns and Knockaert always available in case we need a change. Only change I would make would be Nugent for Beckford (although does anyone else like the idea of playing all 3? ;)) and if possible, although I concede this is unlikely, Whitbread in for Moore, much as I think the youngster (will call him that though he's still just older than me) has played well. Personally I'd consider swapping De Laet and Moore's roles, as De Laet has more experience playing at CB.

Nigel said he isnt going to rush Zak Whitbread. He said when he is back he wants him 100%. He dont want to rush him just for him to get injured

I would start with the same team as tonight. That is assuming Moore can play.

I know it was only lower league opposition, but never change a winning team. We played well, scored some good goals, try and keep the momentum going. And if things aren't going right, we have Nugent, Danns and Knockaert to bring off the bench, that's not too bad is it?

I am slightly confused as to why Beckford is starting over Nugent still. Hmm!

I bet its the other way around on sat, but you never know, i agree with not changing a winning team, as long as Beckford puts in a shift.

Posh won 4 nil last night as well and I'll bet they'll keep to the same team so me thinks we should too.

Last year Nigel had no one else to turn to if Beckford wasnt doing it. Now with Vardy and Futacs coming in with Waghorn returning Beckford wont be allowed to cruise through like last year

In my oppinion Vardy and Beckford were told the best performer would start next to Nugent.

Beckford looked sharper than Nugent in both the open training session and against Sunderland at KP Stadium so think he will get the nod on Saturday.
Also think Moore deserves a chance but think he looked better at RB so would go with De Laet at CB as suggested by Fantastic Mr Fox

De Laet looked shaky at CB when he came on against Burton. Mind you, he looked shaky when he switched to RB in the same game. Performed well at RB the other times I have seen him. Wouldnt WANT to stick him in the middle, but if needs must .....

So are we all ready for the big KO tomorrow? I am well excited, can't wait!
This is the best part, the build up, before it all goes wrong :) Lol!

So, starting team for Saturday? Same as Tuesday for me, never change a winning team...

At the end of the day, we should play the strikers that score goals.

RE: Peltier, i think the Leeds fans would agree that any other right back would have looked impressive in regards to what they had before.

    Yep, can't wait.

I reckon it'll be the same team, possibly Danns coming back in for James.

Hoping Knockaert is at least on the bench.
