I am pretty sure that not many of us are going to be able to agree on this line up for this game. I think we will all have different ideas on both formation and the starting line up. Ritchie De Laet and Matty James will both be available for this one increasing Nigel's options. Richie Wellens was one of the better performers against Derby and Andy King played well for Wales which may effect Nigel's thinking. So here is what I would play Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Keane Konchesky Drinkwater Wellens James Knockaert Wood Schlupp Subs- Logan, St. Ledger, King, Dyer, Marshall, Nugent, Waghorn
Wood has been released early now NZ have qualified.. won't play the second game so should be back in plenty of time
Wouldn't mind seeing Marshall in the middle for a game and put dd on the bench but I'd go with the rest of that side.
Andy King did well when he came on for Wales last night - might just have given him a self-belief boost - and for that reason I'd include him probably for James - otherwise the same ..
Millwall are going to scrap, Andy King tends to go missing in these types of games that why I included Matty James over King
I presume you didn't see the treatment the Jocks were dishing out last night then? - he also took that Karl Henry tackle without a whimper ... think you are doing the lad a disservice ...
Kasper De Laet Morgan Keane Konch Knockaert James Drinkwater Schlupp Wood Nugent Subs Logan St ledger Marshall King Dyer Wellens Waghorn. Give Schlupp and Knockaert freedom to run inside and let off a few shots and terrorise the defence. I would have Nugent in the starting line up as he will be gunning to change his form after the break.
I base my opinion on seeing King for nearly 5 years. Not 2 or 3 games He is a bit like Gallagher. When things are going well he is a great player to have but when you have to dig in and fight he just goes missing
... you've just discredited your whole argument with the Gallagher comment - he has never been a 'great player' unless you are going to extend your comparable criteria to park level ... and I make my judgement on watching young players develop for Leicester City for over 40 years ... not on 2 or 3 games ... you would not have seen Gally going into that challenge with Karl Henry period - King is growing in maturity and with that he will take on more responsibility - IMHO that is starting to show through ..
Sorry Fosse I agree with Proud on not starting King, the Millwall game will be a tough physical one and that is not one of Kingys strong points, he shies away from tackling, yes you're correct he can 'ride' tackles well but won't return the favour so to speak. So for that reason if James is fit - he starts IMO.
I just think the James and DD combination sures up the midfield so much more - which gives the likes of Knochaert and marshall/dyer much more freedom and we look better that way
I think we should drop Wood as well- he hasn't looked good recently. This is the team I'd love to see: Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - St. Ledger - Konchesky Drinkwater - James Knockaert - Marshall - Schlupp Nugent. But I agree this is quite far-fetched, and also that King probably doesn't deserve to be dropped. Schlupp has to play this game, but I can imagine Nigel not playing him- for some reason he doesn't seem to rate him.
