Right this one in all likelyhood is win or bust for Nigel. I think anything less then 3 points will see him lose his job. Both Paul Konchesky and Ritchie De Laet will probably miss out again. Both Sean St. Ledger and Jeff Schlupp got alot of praise for their midweek performances. Matty James return date is a bit of a mystery but apart from that everyone else is fighting fit. So here is what I would go with Schmeichel St. Ledger Keane Morgan Schlupp Wellens Drinkwater King Dyer Wood Nugent Subs- Logan, Whitbread, Marshall, Gallagher, Knockaert, Waghorn, Kane
Don't think he will lose his job if we don't win - but I am usually way off the mark with my football predictions, just ask Ladbrokes. Dyer MUST start imo. Wouldn't be surprised if Pearson went back to 4-4-2 with Lloyd on one side Knockaert on the other.
Schmeichel St. Ledger Keane Morgan Schlupp Marshall Drinkwater Dyer Knockaert Wood Nugent Subs: Logan, Whitbread, Wellens, King, Gallagher, Waghorn, Kane. It won't happen, but I'll throw it out there anyway. I think it'll be a toss up between Proud Fox's or foxaway's offerings - I don't expect many radical changes, as always with Nige
i'd definitely stick with tuesdays team if everyones available. i like the way it can interchange between 4-5-1, 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 depending on how its going
I just get the impression the owners wanted a minimum of 4 points from Cardiff and Derby. The rumours started before the Wednesday game and if we only manage a draw or lose our points tally in the 3 games wont be impressive. I hope im wrong as i am fully behind Nigel but thats the way I see things at the min
I think the only chance of Pearson getting the sack before the season ends is if we are mathematically out of the play-offs race, which wouldn't be until around the second or third to last game of the season anyway. While we have a chance of the play-offs, we have a chance of promotion. The real question is - what will they do if we fail in the play-offs?
Can't imagine Wellens with his limited fitness will get 2 games in a week- St. Ledger only just back from injury too. Radio Leicester gave him MOTM, can anyone who went confirm if he played any good?
Even if we lose in the playoffs, I would love to give Pearson another season. He is slowly fixing the mess that Sven made, and is starting to build a good squad here. I know all the other fans are like "nahnahnah with the money you spent you should be top of the league!", but for some strange reason, they can't get their head around the fact that Sven and Pearson are actually two different people. But yeh, no matter where Pearson finishes this season, we need to give him another year. Stability is key, chopping and changing all the time doesn't help. Look what happened last time we let Pearson go, that didn't exactly work out for us now, did it...
St Ledger looked raring to go when he came on vs Sheff Wed, I think he'll be ok. My prediction is that the team will be: Schmeichel SSL Morgan Keane Konchesky Wellens King Drinkwater Dyer Wood Nugent (4-3-3) If it were me, which it isn't, I'd go for: Same back 5 Knockaert King/Wellens Drinkwater Dyer Wood Nugent (4-4-2) Get the wide players involved as the Derby fullbacks aren't at full fitness yet
Bollocks @StringerSport: #lcfc striker Chris Wood is a doubt for the game against Derby County. He's struggling with a groin problem
Waghorns delivery from set pieces is a massive asset, we seem to be doing well from set plays recently so I'd be happy to give Waghorn a start. Random thought, has Wes Morgan ever scored a goal for us? Also, I know Kane hasn't looked great so far, but have we been playing him out of position?
No Anthony Knockaert now @StringerSport Anthony Knockaert will miss the #lcfc game against Derby County tomorrow due to a family bereavement
Some good news though @RobTannerMerc Knockaert is out of LCFC's game at Derby due to family bereavement. But Konchesky and De Laet return
From what I saw Tuesday I'd leave de leat on the bench and start ledge at least he can defend or even play de leat as a winger?
