Ok....the cup is gone. It was hard to hide my anger at today's performance but, onwards and upwards eh?

What's your team for Tues? Here's mine, assuming all are fit besides Hoilett:

---------------------Cesar--------------------
Onouha---------Nelsen-----Hill----------Traore
---------------Derry------Mbia----------------
Mackie-------------Taarabt---------------SWP
------------------Remy-----------------------

By the way....Remy signed my lad's shirt today, so there was at least one positive for him from the day!

I think he'll go with Fabio rather than Traore, that looked a settled back four...

Yeah, I think you're right. Just thought Traore looked good today and Fabio didn't!

No other option imo mate, at least not until Hoilett is fit. I don't rate Zamora as highly as some on here so I'm not too bothered tbh.

You going Tuesday?

I think Fabio will be up for it as it's Man City, Fergie will be looking for a favour...

Tarrabt and Remy are injury doubts for the match.

I am over for my first league game this season on Tuesday night. I would be soooooo disappointed if both don't play.

Granero in or we'll see another West Ham, I can't stand the feeling we're under the siege for 90 minutes and just waiting to concede

Doesn't sound like he did himself any favours today.

I don't know really couldn't find even a radio <doh> but after reading some match reports it seems he was one of our best players today if you can say that at all

“I thought (Esteban) Granero was doing okay. He was getting on the ball and making us play. But you can’t give two goals away like that.” Harry's post match interview so I expect Esteban in the starting 11

I would be very surprised. We need players who will put in a shift. Granero always looks disinterested.

Harry was referring to the first half when he said that!

Yes indeed but we also need players who can do something with the ball, no disrespect to Derry(I have huge respect for this guy) and Mbia but their passing abilities give me the creeps. Maybe we'll buy someone till Tuesday

I'd take a punt and drop mackie, put SWP on the right, tarbs on the left and granero in the middle.

So it sounds as if Remy&Tarbs and SWP are all doubts. I fully expect all three to be available though- i get the impression Arry's tendency to exaggerate is in evidence here.
Regarding Granero, i think these are the type of games he'll be 'up for', and the style of the opponents is likely to suit him. I've no idea who he'd replace in the side though.

I was thinking the same mate, we gotta have someone who can hold the ball in midfield - Granero or Ale though I hear neither was good today. Either this or play Adel up front as against Scum and Spurs, and play Remy, M'bia, Derry, Granero and SWP in a midfield 5, and get SWP, and especially Remy well forward on the counter. Don't think Mackie is at his best and hasn't looked like scoring recently.

Agree. An attacking midfielder or striker should score/create goals first and foremost. That's his role. He's not doing that and hasn't been for a while. Hard work doesn't make up for quality and Harry needs both. So I'd give him a little break.
