Wilfred Ndidi and Ben Chilwell are doubts. Jonny Evans returns from suspension. So here is what I would go with

    Schmeichel

    Ricardo
    Morgan
    Maguire
    Fuchs

    Albrighton
    Mendy
    Ndidi
    Gray

    Maddison

    Vardy

Subs- Ward, Simpson, Evans, Choudhury, Iborra, Ghezzal, Okazaki

I'd consider giving Choudhury a start. He looks more like a very defensive midfielder rather than one who could get caught out of position through marauding forward, which is exactly what you don't want against a good counter-attacking side like Chelsea. Best to give him a chance in a game like this where we aren't expected to win, rather than against a lower-table team. It would be on the back of a good performance in midweek and his confidence will be high. Yes, it would be hard for him, but he'd get some proper experience and learn a lot from playing against top class players, and I'm sure he'd relish the opportunity and give his all. He'd just need to make sure he doesn't get over eager and booked in the first 20 minutes.

This the team for me. Neither Ndidi or Mendy have been particularly good in the last couple of matches so would swap Choudhury for Mendy who could be a little lite wait for this one. Choudhury will sit back and allow Ndidi to get forward when the chance arises. Both Albrighton and Parerea need to start.

We really needed a result like that against one of the top 6. For ages we just seem to go through the motions and lose those games so fantastic result!

Great result and a very good performance. A little lucky with them not having their best day in front of goal but a very solid defensive performance with everyone putting a full shift in. Everyone played well But Pereira and Chilwell were outstanding. Cobber and fellow expat Fox from NZ over there on holiday in the crowd so shout out to Richard Clifton, hope he enjoyed his day

Ricardo Pereira was a liabilty defensively a few weeks back. Since Amartey’s injury he has really kicked on and looks like a £25M right back

Him and Chilwell are absolute stars. They are wasted in a 4-2-3-1 system and have been crying out for a system that allows them to get forward more. My feelings were that itd be a 3 at the back with wing backs but the 3 in the midfield and 3 up top allows them to play to their strengths with plenty of cover to drop back in. But yeah the way Ricardo has come on defensively is amazing

Didn't realise Richard was in the crowd yesterday. I knew he was "coming home." He is obviously a lucky omen.....quick, someone hide his passport.

Something I see as a big positive in the current day and age in the premier league is how many homegrown players we had there yesterday.

    Vardy
    Maddison
    Choudhury
    Maguire
    Chilwell
    Albrighton

All English with Gray on the bench and Morgan would be in that list if he hadn’t declared for Jamaica. He is English. And Schmeichel who has been born and bred here despite to Danish parents and declaring for them. Only 3 of the 11 who wouldn’t class as homegrown. Not many other sides in the league have that.

That is quite remarkable actually. Would be great to add Loftus-Cheek to that list at some point...

Home grown has nothing to do with nationality. They have to have spent 3 years at an English club before they was 21 to be considered home grown

Schmeichel and Morgan are home grown

Paul Pogba is home grown aswell

It puts us in good stead when Brexit happens and the home grown cap is in place - only 6 members of our last match day squad aren't home grown.

I know, that’s why I included Morgan and Schmeichel as Home grown despite not being declared for England. I also see it as good for communication within the squad. But having 6 declared Englishmen in the starting line up is great

Harvey Barnes to come back aswell

I think Iheanacho could be classed as home grown depend on when he joined Man City

Evans, Ward, King, James are also homegrown
