    Wheeee Georgie.

Another 4-3-2-1. Although I doubt if this one will be starting against Newcastle.

Subs: Joronen, Button, Sessegnon, Madl, Odoi, Edun, Ayité, Cairney, Tunnicliffe, Parker, Aluko, Humphrys, Woodrow

I thought you'd be pleased to see williams get a start, cottager. Looking forward to seeing mcdonald as well.

As you say cottager, i doubt this will be close to the line up against newcastle. Of tonights starting 11 I'd guess that maybe only 2 or 3 of them will be in the starting 11 against newcastle. I think Saturdays match against Palace will give us more of a hint for newcastle.

0-0 at halftime. A game of very few chances so far. We've got ourselves in behind their defence in wide positions quite a few times but nothing really coming of it. Can't help but think aluko or ayite in those positions may have done a bit better.

Hopefully a better 2nd half to come

    Half time 0-0

Can safely say this is what is known as a training game and pretty lacklustre. Showing bias here but Malone has (again) not impressed at LB. Mind you Stearman at RB is no great shakes either. MacDonald doing what he does - albeit at walking pace. No, that's unfair. He's showing a lot of awareness, always looking to see where his mates are (behind as well as forward), going into space and importantly helping others (like young Adeniran) where to go.

Wee Georgie trying but spending too much time in the centre and his passing 'aint the best.

Looking forward to an exciting second Half !!

At least we seem to be watching the same game FAB.

Agree about Malone, far from impressed by him so far. Early days so will give him a fair chance but the early signs are that our problem at left back is no closer to being solved.

Half time change - Edun to RB; Stearman to CB. Kalas off.

Makes sense if your going to keep the Captain on the field.

Tunnicliffe, odoi and humphrys replace adeniran, malone and williams.

Good to see young humphrys get on.

More sense on the hour - Odoi on for Malone; Tunnicliffe for Adeniran; and Humphrys for Williams.

Personally I've been shouting for Humphrys to replace Smith for the last 15 mins, but there you are!

Edun looks very capable defensively, started the half at right back and was moved to left back when odoi came on. Looks happy on either side. Made some good tackles and made a goal saving challenge earlier on this half.

MacDonald off for Parker. Ayite and Akolu on for Smith and De La Torre. After 75 mins.

Now for the fireworks (and pirouettes!)

Close from humphrys, forcing a decent save from the keeper.

Ah well, just another day at the office! Full time 0-0

Agree about Edun FAB, and interesting that he was wearing the No. 4 shirt.

And we finish at 0-0. For me theres very little to be taken from this game, i suppose it's another clean sheet but other than that it was just a nothing game with next to nothing happening in the match. Pre season friendly at its best, or worst.

Was no.4 not odoi? I was under the impression odoi went to right back when he came on and edun moved to left back? I may be wrong.

Agree it wasn't the best game but at least we seemed defensively better. Good possession but too few chances created.

My bad - you are correct FAB. Maybe that's why I thought he played well !!!

That was the really disappointing bit COYW. Don't know if they were under instruction but all the tippy tappy stuff will get slaughtered in the Championship.
