We have a fully fit squad to choose from apart from Matt Upson he is recovering faster then expected but still some way off. There probably will be a few changes after Saturday. Here is what I would play Schmeichel De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky James Cambiasso Drinkwater Mahrez Vardy Ulloa Subs- Hamer, Wasilewski, Simpson, Hammond, King, Schlupp, Nugent
Would like to see Albrighton play this weekend. Need some width and crossing ability. James also warrants a start.
Schmeichel De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky James Cambiasso Drinkwater Schlupp Vardy Ulloa Subs- Hamer, Wasilewski, Simpson, Hammond, King, Mahrez, Nugent We need to rip um apart with our pace. Bring King, Mahrez & Nugent on any time after 60 odd mins.
You seem to be a fan of Albrighton Weller? ... he's never really impressed me tbh and don't see him getting a start at the moment ... the best two crosses we have put in have come at pace by Schlupp and Vardy, both of whom seem to be ahead of Albrighton now, as too is Mahrez... Personally I'd go with Proud's line up ... looking to have Vardy and Mahrez get the ball over to Leo ... Danny D had a bit of a mare against Palace and needs to put that behind him quickly ... but we should have enough in our squad to beat Burnley ... would be great to score first for once mind ...
We´ll (LCFC) be giving all teams the same respect & taking nothing for granted. Yes there are games that I´d say "we should win this one" but for me it´s one game at a time. Oh btw there are games in which I say " we can lose this one, I ain´t fussed"... Arsenal & Manc Poo for i.e
The correct approach without doubt, but based on their performances so far they don't even look a decent Championship side, never mind a Premier League one. It's also good to be playing them now, while they have no decent strikers, there's a chance they'll improve when they get some half decent firepower.
If they're in an much bother as it looks like they'll be, Danny Ings will be worth a go for Saints in january.
I wouldn't mind giving Simpson a start as I've been unimpressed with De Laet defensively. He does well going forward but I feel that covers up his defensive side
Just our luck they´ll start to improve this weekend. Some thing else is that Newcastle could sack AP if they lose their next game, guess who plays them after that ?
They have a few good players, but why they signed Jutkiewicz i don't know, he was crap in the Championship. They have a few top players, but like this article says, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29404976 they are wanting up front. Arguably with the best strike force in the Championship last year out, they are going to struggle to pickup wins against teams like us ... hopefully ... Now ive said that we are going to lose 3-0
And may an STD rob you of your manhood and turn your nether regions blue... if this hasn't happen already.
Will reserve judgement on Albrighton, he seemed pretty good when first in the Villa team. Just think that he has the ability to put crosses in without getting in behind defenses. I also don't think that Drinkwater & Cambiassio are the best midfield combination.Prouds team is good but will Pearson drop Nugent?
I'd like to see us play 4-4-2 with the same back five, Mahrez left, Vardy right, Drinky and Cucho in the middle with Nuge and Ulloa up top. I can't see Nuge being dropped anytime soon because of the work he does for the team and he does have a pretty decent record against Burnley. I hope we can score early so they have to change to their non-existent plan b.
An early goal would be good to settle things. While we have scored first before that was after a long defensive battle, it would be good to see us on the front foot early. Little off subject but interesting to see that while De Laet is not everyone's cup of tea he has been named in PL team of the month on one web site.
Obviously anything could happen on the day, but signs are pointing to a home win, also im going, making it even more likely to happen!
