Ben Chilwell is a doubt but other then long term injuries Amartey and Albrighton everyone else is fit. Here is what I would go with Schmeichel Ricardo Maguire Evans Fuchs Barnes Ndidi Tielemans Maddison Iheanacho Vardy Subs- Ward, Simpson, Soyuncu, Mendy, Choudhury, Gray, Ghezzal, Okazaki
Looking for a reaction Kasper Ricardo Evans Maguire Fuchs N’didi Tielemans Alrighton Maddison Barnes Vardy Subs: Ward, Simpson, Morgan, Mendy, Gray, Okasaki, Ihenacho
If Chilwell is fit another option would be keep Fuchs left back and Chilwell left wing which Puel did when he first took over. Fuchs has better quality on the ball then Chilwell but Chilwell has the legs **** I sounded abit like Puel with that Fuchs comment
Theres was concerns Jamie Vardy had broken his hand. Again Apparently he punched a door after the Palace result but x-rays cleared him of any break. Just bruising Either way get that blue cast back on him. He is unstoppable with it on
One option is starting Fuchs left back and Chilwell left wing as neither Maddison, Gray or Ghezzal deserve to start
Plenty for Rodgers to improve upon, but glad the lads got the result. 2 good goals from good though balls, Tielemans especially!
Why no booing when Tielemans was subbed? Why no chants of "You don't know what you're doing" when Iheanacho came on? You fickle w***ers!!!!!!! The only difference with that performance last night, to the Palace game was that we won the game. Some of our fans need to take a long hard look at themselves!!!!
Reason being is Puel genuinley didnt know what he was doing. Tielemans was knackered and Vardy came off in the last few seconds with us winning. Not half an hour to go while drawing Plus people could understand the subs for once. We was losing the midfield battle until Mendy came on. Having watched Maddison and Tielemans 3 times now im not convinced we can play both off them. Off the ball they dont offer us enough and Ndidi ends up being over run Okazaki and Iheanacho pretty much came on to waste time And as we all know. When your winning the manager can make any subs he wants. When he is losing he better not make stupid subs or he will get critism for it. Just a fact
That's why Tielemans was subbed against Palace.......he was knackered, but because he was knackered yesterday and Puel wasn't in charge, it's okay! Some people only see what they want to see!!!!!!!
Improved performance with good energy ... we still give the ball way too cheaply and in dangerous positions. Once Harvey Barnes learns to relax more in front of goal he will be some player.
Its not one decision Puel made that got questioned. It was numerous Once you lose support from everyone peoplw will have a pop for everything you get wrong Yesterday’s game we needed Mendy to come on. The sub made sense Puel’s subs was often baffling
While i agree that there wasn't much difference to the performances, the subs were night and day. Tielemans on Saturday was subbed for Iheanacho, who was subsequently played on the right wing, playing him out of position is not going to help him. No-one complained when Gray came on at half time, and there wasn't much reaction to Barnes going off because the stadium was half empty. I was calling for Iheanacho to replace Vardy on Saturday as he was ineffective, when i saw him replacing Tielemans, i stupidly thought that Puel was actually going to change the formation and put 2 men up top so that theres some actual threat in the box, but no. Tielemans last night was subbed for Mendy, who played in his natural position, the substitution made sense. I will say though that they were very easy subs last night, as we were actually winning the match for once. Puels subs were not criticized when we were winning under him either. If Stowell last night had subbed off Tielemans for Iheanacho and played him out of position then he would deserve the same criticism, but he didn't, he swapped a CM for a DCM, a striker for a striker and a No 10 for a DLF.
