Harry Maguire should be fit despite picking up a knock with England. Kelechi Iheanacho broke his hand playing for Nigeria but as Vardy did in the past he should be ok to play in a cast. Daniel Amartey may return but Matty James has picked up another injury and will miss the game. So here is what I would go with

    Schmeichel

    Simpson
    Morgan
    Maguire
    Fuchs

    Mahrez
    Ndidi
    Iborra
    Albrighton

    Okazaki
    Vardy

Subs- Hamer, Dragovic, Chilwell, Silva, Diabate, Gray, Iheanacho

This is a must win game with Burnley away to WBA. Agree with your team proud with Chilwell having only just played think he will go with Fuchs. Definitely our best 4 across the middle

    Will probably be

    Schmeichel
    Simpson Morgan Maguire Chilwell
    Mahrez Ndidi Iborra Albrighton
    Okazaki
    Vardy

Would happily (as above) see Fuchs for this one as he’ll be fresher and would like Dragovic over Morgan but that won’t happen

Chilwell was shocking against Chelsea so I think Fuchs should come into the team

The ability to control the ball, pass accurately or show any level of composure has completely deserted us first half. Puel has work to do at half time.

Not a great deal better second half and a penalty to Brighton, saved by Schmeichel .

We are so bad it’s painful. If ever a league position flattered someone it’s us in 8th. Kasper to thank there for the pen save but if we fail to win with Burnley picking up 3 points that’s 7th all but mathematically done. If any of these players moan they want to leave for European football they should remember that this season has been a golden chance and they haven’t wanted it

Smash and grab against the run of the game, so harsh on Brighton but we’ll take it! West Brom pulled one back in the same minute..... come on Baggies

Ffs, it’s clear the ref has been itching to pull out a red giving yellows for every foul so Puel takes two players off who don’t have a yellow and we promptly go down to 10!

2-0 Vardy and 3 points it is! Nothing to take the focus off a poor performance like a worse one from the ref! At least that was a character building win if not pretty or deserved on the balance of play for the majority of the game. There’s talent in this team, they just need to take this as a confidence boost and please some positivity from Puel

    Kasper saves a peno
Ndidi sent off and now has a 2 match ban
    Iborra and Vardy score

That was a boring 2nd half

I know what you mean but the 12 teams below us have had absolutely woeful seasons. Just be grateful ours isn’t like most teams in whats been a bizzare season

poor game - but hey ho we will take it - oddly enough i thought iborra was a bit off today - quite a few misplaced passes

Ive always wanted to see Silva and Iborra start together but Ndidi has been undroppable. So they get their chance next week

Position wise great, but the style of play just seems dull compared to how it was. I guess you sum it up with your comments regarding the other 12 teams. 8th is a decent season but I’d like to see us earn it by playing well and not because everyone below is so dire we have stayed there by default.
But today was pleasing in the end, these wins are as important as any and in terms of away form we are doing well (Everton and Man City aside). Home form needs to improve but as I said somewhere above, we have the players, we just need to be less cautious and take games by the scruff of the neck, we seem to do well in games where we get ahead
