After Nugent's moment of madness against Birmingham anything less then 3 points will see our season end. There is no injuries so Nigel has a fully fit squad to pick from. The majority of the team played very well on Friday so there wont be many changes. So here is what I would play Schmeichel De Laet Keane Morgan Konchesky Drinkwater King James Knockaert Wood Schlupp Subs- Logan, Moore, Wellens, Dyer, Marshall, Nugent, Waghorn
Drop Konch, and play 3-5-2 with dyer and Knocky on the wings , midfield of king,James and dd, back 3 of de Laet,Wes & James and schlupp and wood up front. Let's end the season in a blaze of glory rather than a damp squib and go for the jugular in our last 4 games.
He may be forced to do something radical - a point for Bolton is as good as a win in terms of our respective placings - the onus is very much on us to leap back above them.
We cant play 3 at the back as that would mean Whitbread has to play. If Nigel insists on going 3 at the back I would dig out my boots, I couldnt be any worse
De Laet's played a lot of football at CB, as has Moore, statistically But I'll eat my Leicester scarf if we ever play 3 at the back under Pearson. I'm not a fan of it anyway, as a full-back myself I like to see them on the pitch.
... with all due respect Proud ... I'd be going for Moore and Keane either side of Big Wes ... but if any of them is injured (and if the Tea Lady's a bit pre-menstrual) then I think you definitely come into the reckoning ... ... one thing for sure - he can't just carry on with the same old if it doesn't pay dividends very very quickly tomorrow ... I do hope Mark Davies is injured otherwise he is nailed on to be first goalscorer (and I'm not even going to contemplate Mills ) ...
