With all the recent signings is this a good time to get game time with each other?

    Patterson
    Huggins
    Alves
    Doyle
    Cirkin
    Winchester
    Neil
    Pritchard
    Diamond
    Hawkes
    Broadhead

Put Winchester in to see how he does in the holding role and give Pritchard a run out in the number 10 spot.

As we have a strong bench i dont see any harm of having a swap round to see what works best

Yeah, didn't mention the bench but could have a few more senior players to come on if required.

That looks good but I'd like to see us stick with the same goalkeeper now, whether that be Burge or Mannone. I personally don't think Patterson is quite ready for our first team yet and I'd like to see him sent on loan for a season to the National league or league 2 to get a run of first team games under his belt.

I would rest Neil and keep him fresh for Saturday

I can't see Blackpool putting out a strong side, so whatever way Johnson goes I think we stand a decent chance.

I have no interest in this tournament, we can't win it and it will only serve to distract us if we go deep. I'd go:

    Patterson
    Huggins Wright Alves Cirkin
    Neil Winchester
    Diamond Pritchard Hawkes
    Broadhead

Same as mine except Doyle but after today I would have Wright as well and give the young kid a breather, thought he looked leggy towards the end.

We have to be careful with Doyle - he will get physically and mentally fatigued playing 50+ games a season at his age. I thought he looked less impressive today compared to previous performances, couple of wild swipes and needless concession of possession. He's an absolute Rolls Royce at this level, but we have to remember he's 17

He can play Grigg and bring Danny graham out of retirement and stick him in for all i care on Tuesday, the league is all important, unless we get through and draw Newcastle H !. Hawkes should get another chance though canny player, with Huggins and Broadhead.

LJ said bailey wright and alves will both play when he was interviewed after the game. I'd rest Neil, Doyle, Embo. Not sure what's up with Mcgeady, if it's his knee then I'd rest him as well.

What s bloody awful attitude, these games give an opportunity for fringe players to show what the are made of.

Anyone know why next weeks EFL trophy game against Man Utd’s under 21’s has been postponed??

  16. Think I'd have Wright in for Doyle, and I wouldn't want Neil and Winchester playing any more than 45 mins each. Would try and get Pritchard a full 90 though. Maybe give Taylor or Wilding a run out alongside him.
