Kit did his pre-match interview today, which is here: So it sounds like Amore is back in contention, with the only new injury concern being Jesse Joronen, who it sounds like will be out for 3-4 months. Sad news for him. So with that said, I think a return to Kit's original favoured back four is on the cards. McCormack has only got a one-game ban. I'm going for; Betts Hoogland Bodurov Burn Amore LVC Parker Ruiz Staf Woodrow Hugo
Since they are not on the injured list I wonder what has happened to Fazlic, Taggart, Chihi and David some haven't featured for the Reserves or been on the bench. ...............Bettinelli.............. Hoogland....Bodurov...Burn...Amorebieta ....Christensen.....Parker....Williams ..................Ruiz.................... ...........Hugo ....Woodrow.... I'm split between using G.Williams or Kavanagh and I don't think Hoogland wants to play fullback.
I think the key word was "new" injuries. Taggart is still injured I think. Fazlic, Chihi and David are anyone's guess though.
Certainly not mine: Slightly disappointed with tonight's results they certainly did not go as we would have liked. A must for 3 points to morrow.
I'm happy with SBM's line up. Woodrow in for McCormack seems most likely. A win tonight lifts us as high as 16th. Despite Blackpool's lowly position I'm not expecting a walkover. They've lost a lot of games by the odd goal and only conceded three or more on three occasions, plus there's the new manager effect. Definitely no room for complacency, so COYW.
Up front in place of Mc C,I would like to see Dembele & Woodrow,45min each depending on the score line.
I agree that we need the win, but I thought last night's results were fairly good for us - Wigan, Rotherham, Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday lost, Millwall and Leeds drew. I'd rather see the teams below us beating the teams just above us. As I've said on another thread, a win tonight carries us four places up the table, or five if it's by more than 1 goal. Not only that, but Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday and Reading would be within our reach at the weekend. Of course, all of that is if we win tonight!
Scuttled back today from an unplanned week in Bonny Scotland for tonightâs game and while I feel a tad sorry for Lee Clark in his unfortunate choice of owners, Iâm looking forward to us moving up to 16th spot. If Amorebieta is as âsharpâ as Kit seems to be suggesting in the video, heâs got to come in at left back. The right back position is a real worry though and as SuperBri says Hoogland is definitely not comfortable there. But what are the options; Vozer or Zverotic or three at the back!? ? Canât see Kit going for any of those. My feeling is that heâll go 4-3-3 and start with - â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦.Bettinelliâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦ ..Hooglandâ¦Bodurov..Burnâ¦Amorebieta.. â¦..Christensenâ¦Parkerâ¦.Stafylidis⦠â¦..Ruizâ¦â¦â¦Hugoâ¦â¦â¦Williams..
Cookie gets his wish: Bettinelli; Zverotić, Bodurov, Burn, Amorebieta; Parker (c); Christensen, Williams; Ruiz; Rodallega, Dembélé
Blackpool down to 10 and we've just got a goal back right before half time, good timing. Doesn't sound like we've been playing too well but right back in this and can turn it around in the 2nd half.
As long as we play our usual single half of good football, I think we might be ok. It doesn't excuse our concessions, but it's been a long time since I've genuinely believed we can get back in a game, being 2-0 down. And I won't get tired of pointing that out for a long time either!
That was very frustrating loads of shots , their keeper in good form, but our defense was a shambles for both goals, the 1st what was Bodurov doing, miss timed his jump then didn't put in a tackle. The 2nd a ball across the six yard box and 3 defenders and keeper fail to cut it out, and Zverotic allows the score to get in front of him to tap in. One thing that is getting very irritating is the quality of Referees in this division, (not that the Premier was better) but they just seem to give so many wrong decisions. Thought both Rodallega and Dembele were poor, first touch and poor control let them down. What's the point in having attacking fullbacks who can't cross a ball, they need to practice non-stop in training delivering the ball into the space between the penalty spot and six yard line till they can do it their sleep. Ruiz, Christensen and Parker had good games but other than that the rest were below par.
I hope one of the interview questions was how are you going to fix this sodding defence!!! Shambles... Most of the team as SBM says played below par. Kit needs to be creative with the team selection. I think Smith would have given a different dimension today by holding the ball... 2 points wasted and a referee with no idea what was happening...
I only heard the second half commentary. As the crosses and corners kept on coming I couldn't understand why we didn't throw Smith into the mix. I'm also wondering just how bad a player Kay Voser must be for us to have Elsad Zverotic deputising for Hoogland at right back! It sounds like we've found out just how much we need Ross McCormack as well. Hey ho, onwards and upwards. It's been a while since we managed 5 games unbeaten in the league, so let's try to keep that going.
