Another thread I know but just read the gossip columns and see Bruce would have no qualms of playing O'Shea if he is fit. On the basis he is fit I would predict the following team for tomorrow

Looks OK to me but i think i'd change Elmo with Gardener and put young Colback in, he'll keep Barton quiet and seems to have a level head on his shoulders. Liverpool kicked chuncks out of him last week and he never bit and we all know that's what the tash will be trying to do.
I just think the occassion is too big for Elmo.

Can I ask why Larsson is played on the left? I thought he was signed for his crossing ability from the right?

It was because I put Elmo in on the right. Seem to recall he played on the left on Saturday at Liverpool and his goal was a cross from Elmo on the right to him coming in from the left

Bruce must have a headache. I know there will be two people in my team that people disagree with (elmo at rb, rico at lw) My reasoning for starting elmo is that I feel we lack height, Newcastle will play with two big strikers and will be lumping balls up the field and looking to win freekicks around our box, he's good at winning balls in the air and this could be invaluable when defending freekicks and corner. Also his pace could be handy for tracking jonas and overlapping larssen when we are attacking. I've gone for rico as I think hell relish this game and I like the thought of him running at simpson. bardo and rico vs simpson and barton. I think sess in a free role behind gyan could be a potential match winner. If things aren't going our way id bring ji on for rico and stick sess out left.
